Dishonest Company
I'm based in Portugal, ordered a bike from this store and they clearly told me that they was not shipping to my location. I found a company doing specifically the shipment of bikes (sendbike.com) and my complain has nothing to do with the transportation of the bikes, but instead they way World of bikes handled this case:
I ordered/payed for brand new bike, size L:
a) On receival of the bike, the carrier, DHL, marked the box as received in bad conditions;
b) The bike was shipped on a wrong box of size XL, there was nothing protecting the bike from scratches or other impact that could damage fragile parts of the bike; the bike was simple put inside a large an box, where it was loose;
c) The bike was full of scratches;
d) Inside the box, there was bruised peppers, containing other customers order details, including their email and address, assuming to be home addresses. I believe this box was being used as a temporary garbage and distractedly used to ship my bike. This constitutes a serious privacy violation;
e) The bike was picked up from the World of Bikes store by SendBike/DHL on July 6, and arrived to Amadora, Portugal, on July 12
f) Since then, on the same day, I emailed World of Bikes reporting the situation, including pictures of scratches, the wrong box, the details of other customers orders, etc... Another emails with more scratches pictures was sent on the same day; on July 15, I managed to talk with a sales person via phone, that promised to take care of the situation. I have been asking then to reply via email with their commitment to handle the situation and not only they did not reply, but also stopped answering my calls.
I believe I payed for a brand new bike, but instead received an exhibition item.
Is this a serious company?
