In my case, ordering 12 packages of Lu biscuits on 25th August, Dutch Expat Shop withdrew on 29th August WITHOUT sending a mail with shipping info. A week after, without any communication from the shop, I prompted my bank to cancel the credit card transaction. First then, Dutch Expat Shop responded, saying sorry for the delay and promissing to send the goods on 9th September at the latest. The goods were not shipped untill 11th September. I wonder if anything had happened, if I hadn't prompt my bank.
Everything was easy From shopping through paiement to delivery. Well done job!

Before placing my order, I asked about customs restrictions and was told there would be no problem. In reality, the products are restricted in Turkey and customs did not release them. The company now refuses to refund the shipping costs, leaving me at a loss. If I had been properly informed, I would never have placed the order. Customers in Turkey should be very cautious.

I placed an order with Dutch Expat Shop that was promised within 4 business days, but it arrived more than two weeks late. Half of the products were useless by then, and to make things worse, they shipped infant milk that expires in just 2 months – completely unacceptable for baby formula. When I raised the issue, customer service hid behind their terms & conditions, refused any responsibility for the delay, and dismissed my request for a modest reimbursement. Selling near-expired baby products and then shrugging off responsibility is disgraceful. I cannot recommend this shop – poor reliability, poor product standards, and zero accountability.

The batch you received carries a best-before date of December, which was the earliest available at the time of shipping. I do apologize that the delivery took longer than expected. I won't give any stars at this time, as I don't base my opinion on a single experience. I recommend their services, but not everything was love. I love them, but I have doubts! My first order, #100438630 (2024), was wonderful. The second order, #100458407 (2025), is a very different story. It's still a bit confusing because as of now (September 23, 2025, Angola time, 9:04 AM), you haven't given me a coherent explanation of what happened. 1 item was out of date the day before ordered, by the time it was delivered it was 8 days past the use by date. Cheese only had a couple of days left. Refunded for the items but won't trust them again.

I have always had great service with simple checkout procedure.
Living in the UK, delivery from the EU is expensive, but the goods arrived in good order and really fast. Only disappointment was that I ordered 'belegen' kaas, which it mentioned on the packaging, but the cheese was obviously 'extra belegen' as it had crystals in it and was quite hard - both of which I do not like.
Always easy to order and fast to receive. Well packaged and hassle-free customs.

Made an order for coffee baileys which is hard to obtain in the UK. Was sent two bottles of ordinary baileys instead, which is easily purchased in the UK. Paid £61.00 for something that probably cost £12 in a supermarket up the road. Not happy at all and would definitely not recommend. Have asked me to amend my review, have not offered a solution. If they can get me the product I ordered or offer me a refund then I will be happy to do so.

I’ve been ordering from Dutch expat store for about 8 years. They have a great selection of products and the prices are reasonable . Everything comes well packaged and delivery is always good. However I feel there needs to be much more communication about the status of your order, after receiving the first email confirming your order I heard nothing regarding time scale for delivery. After about a week I emailed to get an update, finally to be told it was ready to ship . Also was not told about out of stock items until I opened my package and found they were missing, I then had to email to find out that they were unavailable, very disappointing. A refund was quickly given but if I’d been told the items were not being sent it would have been much better. Despite all that good overall .
I order shipments to the USA regularly. Shipping costs are highly competitive, and the goods arrive well-packaged, no broken or missing items, ever.
