motorcycle fuel tank
i received a tank quite fast, but despite a description showing light scratches, it did not stated that it had been repainted and clearcoated in glossy clear coat.
originaly, it was satin finish, and while looking at it, it is obvious that it was initialy orange and had been repainted in ivory.
-the first problem is that i bought specificaly this tank in order to have the original ivory color as a reference to copy it and repaint it properly in the original livery.
-the second issue is that scratches were described, but not the fact it had been hurt at one placewhich caused a deformation and cracking paint which peals of the plastic base.
It is ok to refresh a scratched plastic tank, but not to repair it, moreover the paint is cracked and commes off.
The price was equivalent to an original good useable condition one.
The seller did not acccept any discount though, so i only accepted in order to have an original silver/ivory tank to refresh it.
If it had been really stated as dented and already repainted, i would not have bought it !
There is absolutely no insurance that the color is the right one...
