Thank you for your review! I am sorry to hear about your discontent with the service you received. I have taken a look at the situation.
The driver was indeed incorrect regarding the child seat: in The Netherlands, child seats in taxis aren't mandatory and there was no reason to charge you extra for this. We have contacted the driver to discuss this. He wasn't aware that this was the case, but he is now, and we trust that he will not make this mistake again.
However, the child seat was not the only reason that the driver charged you extra. In the case that you book a taxi ride via our service, it is very important that the number of passengers and the amount of luggage that is entered in the booking is correct. This is not only a matter of the available space in the taxi; if the number of passengers or amount of luggage in the taxi aren't the same as those listed in the booking, the driver risks multiple things. Firstly, there are sometimes police checks for taxis, especially near airports. Secondly, if something goes wrong during the taxi ride, and the 'metrics' of the taxi ride do not comply with what is shown in the booking, the driver is not insured for damages.
Unfortunately, you took both more passengers, and more luggage with you during the taxi ride, then you originally booked for. Since the driver takes on large extra risks when this happens, as I described earlier, we allow drivers to charge extra when a customer wants to take extra passengers or luggage on the ride. This charge is outside of our control, which means that we cannot control how much the driver charges. Unfortunately, this meant there was little we could do in this situation. The main tip I want to give you is to always make sure that you book for the correct number of passengers, and add the correct amount of luggage. This way, you are always able to avoid these kinds of situations!
I am sorry that you found yourself in this unfortunate situation, but I hope that I have at least been able to help you understand why this is the case and how to avoid this in the future.
