As a family of five (dog included), we have just returned from a week break in Duinrell. Now usually i am not one for writing reviews but after our current stay here i felt it necessary to warn others what they are letting themselves in for. Accommodation - We were booked in a comfort 6 person lodge (for pets), which is the top accommodation available for those wanting to bring a dog. Firstly, how they can say this is a lodge for 6 people (and a dog) i have no idea. The main bed (twins pushed together) just about allowed enough room for myself (and i am not a big person) let alone my partner, who spent all week sleeping on the settee. The bed had two tiny cupboards squeezed at the sides, which i had the pleasure of smacking my head on every night for the first 3 nights, until I decided it was probably more comfortable to sleep on the middle of the bed , where the two beds joined (less of two evils). The second bedroom was adequate with two single beds but for the third room it felt like they had squeezed a bunk bed into a cupboard, with only enough room to step into it. Where they actually expected you to put your clothing/luggage i have no idea!! Thankfully for us, there were only 4 humans (2 of which were only small children). The accommodation was dirty, there was dog slobber on the patio windows and rips in the settee. The floor was filthy, so when we had a shower we had to carry the children to their beds or for ourselves put our shoes on, otherwise our feet would be black with dirt when we got into bed. Some of the plates/bowls/cutlery had not been cleaned properly, so i had to wash them all before we used them. Yes, i admit i have a house proud person, but even for somebody who is a little more laid back (like my partner) this was totally unexceptional. A Word of warning, don’t expect much sleep if the weather is hot, these lodges are like saunas, even with he windows open. To continue…………….

We had a brilliant week at Duinrell with our 11 & 9 year old daughters. This was our 2nd holiday there, and yet again it didn’t disappoint. We first came in 2020 and we had a thoroughly enjoyable week, so as soon as I could book for 2023, I did (I booked a year in advance). I was a bit apprehensive about going on holiday to somewhere we’d been before, in case it didn’t live up to our memories, but I needn’t have worried! We had another amazing week! There’s so much to do and we were never bored, but we could take it at our own pace. The activities appeal to all ages, so everyone is happy. The park is fun, clean and well laid out. We mostly went to the theme park in the afternoons & evenings and we found the queues to be very short. We spent the daytimes visiting the local area or going to the tiki pool. There’s lots to do in the local area. We had lovely days out at the beach in Wassenaar, Nordwijk, katwijk and Delft. We mainly used bikes to get around (although we drove to Delft, which was easy to get to and had good parking). The bike hire is very reasonable. The tiki pool was also loads of fun, again it suited all our ages. Our favourite were the slides with the rubber rings, although there was quite a queue for those ones. But the tiki pool never felt overcrowded as the booking system seems to work well & fairly. We stayed in a premium duingalow. It was spacious, and had everything we needed. We didn’t cook any hot food (there’s loads of places to get nice food), so I can’t comment how good it would be for full on self catering as there’s only a microwave. The bedrooms were a good size although I found the pillow & mattress a bit uncomfortable. No one else in my family seemed to mind though. We combined our trip with a few days in Amsterdam. That worked really well. It really was a perfect family holiday.

We had a very nice vacation. The duingalow looked exactly like in the pictures. It met our needs. Theme park and water park were great. The lawn could be better kept. The small rivers could be cleaner. But overall, we were very pleased with out stay.

We had so much fun, the staff and facilities are excellent. We stayed in a premium plus and I felt for the money it should have been spotless - it was not, it is only ever the cleaners that let this place down. Do they not get enough time do to a decent job or are they just rubbish? We refused to let it detract from our fab hol, but I have been many times now and I always leave it cleaner than I find it. The windows were not clean in any way, under the furniture and under the cushions was a lot of dust, our microwave was dirty and the freezer section in our fridge needed defrosting (we did it). All the outside furniture had birds poo on it and the welcome mat was filthy. It's the first impression and it was such a shame. We stayed in 813 - the blinds to the large window are missing and broken, this was not ideal but we were incredibly grateful for the air-con, which would not have been needed so much if we could close the blinds and stop the extreme heat coming in through the glass. The pillows are not nice - I recommend anyone to take their own, we tend to. Most probably our last hol there as the kids are now nearly adults, but it has served us well over the years and we have many happy memories. Thank you Duinrell. XX

Good sized plots with easy access to water and sanitation disposal for our motorhome. Shower and toilet facilities were always clean and plentiful enough that I never needed to wait for a toilet, shower or washing up spot. Great to have open access to the amusements. It would have been nice if there was still open access to both pools instead of having to sign up using limited vouchers. Everyone enjoyed the indoor pool and slides. The on site shop was well stocked and Wasenaar was a short walk away with a supermarket and a good selection of restaurants and cafes and Luciano for amazing ice cream

We stayed in a Duirnell bungalow in August 22 which was ideally placed close to the plaza. The accommodation was what we expected. Practical and comfortable. Yes the bungalow are a little bit old and tired in places, but the kitchen was well stocked, the beds and sofas were comfortable and the shower was powerful! The supermarket on site stocks essentials and the fast food outlets around the site provided the sort of food you’d expect. The best aspect of the park was the indoor tiki pool and the rides. Both were brilliant. Despite going in the height of summer queueing wasn’t a problem at all and there were plenty of rides for all ages of our group. The nearby beach was an added bonus. Lovely sand and sea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to families.

We were in the Dennenveld camping area and had great pitch . Close enough to walk to amusements and near to toilets / wash rooms . Pool amazing - 2 hours felt not quite long enough . Shame we had to pay extra to use pools, would have been better to have a certain number of free visits . Would recommend taking bikes or kids scooters as supermarket was at other side of park . We hired them but only for one day as for ten days would have been 500 euros (family of five ) Amazing area and perfect for kids.

I’ve been here five times and every time is brilliant. Chalets are always spotless, staff are great and I can relax whilst the kids tire themselves out all day long in the park. This last time I stayed three nights so would have been nice to have three days access to Tiki pool, but we. were only given two… so had to pay for third day myself, but other than that… amazing and will be back.

Beautifull vilage with full atractions for yhe whole family. Rooms are good. Air conditions could make the stay perfect.

Could do with more signage

Loved our stay. Lodgetent was great and had everything we needed. Everything on site is really handy & kids just loved being able to go on the amusements as much as they liked. Outdoor pool absolutely freezing (even on very hot days) but good to cool off! Indoor pool great fun - was packed at times but didn't take away from the enjoyment. Lovely cycle paths outside site which are great. But more caution needed cycling on the site as cars, bikes, go-karts, walkers etc... Overall great fun.

The kids had so much to do, loved the pools and the rides. Everything in one place makes the holiday complete!

Our group included toddlers and teenagers and there was plenty to appeal to everyone which made it a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We were amazed by the number of rides, flumes etc available. The older ones loved the scary rides and the younger ones enjoyed the playgounds and gentler rides. The swimming pool was also a hit, again with a wide range of flumes and activities. The free entry to amusements and pool meant that we hardly needed to leave the park and it was great value for money.

Staff were rude, 1 security member was beyond awful! They allow noise way past 2am in the morning. You see and speak to no one and left to sort yourself out, there are no leaflets or staff members available to ask questions about the area. Only good thing are the people around you on the campsite as my daughter made many friends, the cleaners for the camping bathrooms were amazing, polite and just kept everything clean! Would I come back? oh hell no!

Great facilities and clean. Good for families. Share out accomodation was over grown in the garden are and one windows light blocked with brambles. Our lodge/ bungalow nice. 3rd bedroom: minute seemed unfair to my young son. More like a cupboard. Also could do with picture cushions a bit more homely as sterile. Over all a great holiday though so thank you.

The park is a fun space for kids and adults. The Comfort cabin we stayed in was very rin down though. Missing wardrobe rails, a patio door that didn't close well, shower door that was loose and a broken hib. I appreciate these cabin are meant to be basic but they need investment. If you were staying in the winter iit would not have been comfortable.

My kids loved it there is so much to do

We all had a great time, chalet was clean and well equipped, swimming pools and theme park kept the youngsters happy Great time had by all

There is so much to do , very clean and lovely surroundings , the nearby town and beach are fantastic

We had a wonderful holiday with our friends. 17 of us in total! Something for all ages. Great base for sightseeing as well. We visited The Hague, Amsterdam, Leiden and Rotterdam.

We had a great time. The park, rides and water slides were excellent. I’d definitely go again.
