After switching to dressage I ordered my first pair of dressage boots. I had previously only owned custom field boots without zippers. I had a hard time finding off the rack boots in my size as I have an ultra thin calf. In the states the sizing charts for Petries are much more limited in terms of sizes available. I found Van Huet Riding boots online and found great pricing (cheaper than in the states) and more size options and additional semicustom options. I was able to get a semicustom boot that fits for a great price with excellent customer service and my boots were ordered, made and delivered in four weeks. Very pleased. I have told several people about my experience and I believe over time many of these people will be ordering their next pair of Petries from Van Huet, and it's great that they have crystals available too as an option! Great company, positive experience. Love my boots .Competitive prices.

Prompt, courteous service. I ordered the front zip boots for everyday and t hey look really nice with the exception of the gusset that is behind the zipper on one boot was not attached. I took it to a local shoe repair place and they fixed it though. This is the second pair I have had.

Zipper gusset was not attached on one boot and I had to have it fixed so it would stay in place.

Peter van Huet was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. I was trying to figure out the right size from overseas, and he was clear and precise. It turned out that the boots were a little too big (not his fault—he matched the Petrie series to a current pair of Cavallos almost exactly), but Peter was helpful in exchanging them. Now I am just looking forward to getting my beautiful boots in the perfect size!

I purchased the Petrie Olympic and am extremely disappointed in its quality. I have owned 2 pairs of Petrie's in the past and these don't compare. I realize the Olympic is the least expensive style but I feel there should have been a better description regarding the lesser quality. I was expecting a stiff dressage boot and the Olympic is floppy compared to my others. Also the leather is not shiny at all even with polish my 7 year old boots have more shine to them. If the description would have been more accurate I wouldn't have purchased them and would have ordered the Anky. As is it, It is too expensive to return oversees and I am stuck with them. I will never purchase Petrie again and will not recommend your company.
