Upon posting this review, Vida XL did phone me and have now refunded my money in full and did not require the product returned. I did however have to insist that their original unwillingness to do so consistutued a breach in Australian Consumer law, irrespective of their so called policy that the full refund window of opportunity had lapsed. This was the resolution I was seeking from the start, as the item that I purchased (rose arbour trellis) was not as sturdy as I anticipated and therefore failed to fulfill its intended purpose of supporting itself and a plant with all but collapsing.

First delivery of occasional table (wooden) was disappointing because the damage was beyond repairable without great expense. BUT the table was lovely and exactly what I wanted. After some emailed communications and photos showing the damage a new table arrived. While the initial disappoint was great, the outcome and response from customer service was very well handled and they took the initiative to respond in an appropriate and professional manner.Suggestions
A simpler customer service email link would be useful. Also a phone number for those older customers that may not have email facility.

The instructions did not cover the assembly at all. It took us a full day and there were absolutely no instructions for the door. Panels are different colours. Since installation I've been approached by the company about a partial refund due to the inconvenience. I accepted. This was followed by a request to change my review. Since I accepted the partial refund the doors have come off their tracks as they are flimsy and poorly made. I have no idea how I will get them back on. Rather than ask customers to change their reviews, the company could look at doing the following: A) Make a decent product, made to last. B) Provide proper assembly instructions. Ask IKEA for help. C) Provide real after sale service rather than bribes. There, I've changed my review.
Don't advertise your products as free delivery then tack on a delivery charge in checkout!!!!
Quick delivery. Arrived faster then expected. We did have a problem with two panels for our outdoor dining setting. Cracked table top wooden panels. However, Communication via email was very timely and positive. They offered a partial refund with view to self repair or replace cracked panels. We chose the latter. We received the replacement parts in 5 days and were in good order. Over all a positive experience and would recommend. Our outdoor dining setting is sturdy, stable and we’re very happy with the product.Suggestions
Avoid contact over phone. Given reported problems noted in other reviews Personally, Communication via email proved a successful, timely approach and achieved a positive outcome. ( or there customer communication page) I would suggest to vidaXL. That they provide a more detailed instruction manual.
