I came to TFOA to buy a mandolin, and they had the model I wanted at a great price. This was the first time I had purchased from them. The purchase process seemed to go smoothly, but I chose a different shipping option than the default. After the purchase was completed, the site gave me an alarming "Server Error": my credit card had been charged, but I didn't receive any confirmation emails, nor did see the purchase listed in my account. Scary! I waited for half an hour, and in the meantime tried to use their chat support option. Nothing happened, and the chat was not answered (they were "very busy"). Finally, I picked up the phone and called the shop. From then on, everything went beautifully. It turns out the mandolin was too light for the shipping option I had chosen. The sales assistant on the phone was extremely helpful and everything was sorted out in ten minutes. I received my confirmation emails, and the mandolin arrived two days later. If it weren't for the very worrying online purchase experience I'd give 5 stars. It would be great if they could work out a tax-included shopping option for Switzerland - the customs processing fees from the shippers are crazy.

Meer dan genoeg keuze bij tfoa. Je krijgt alle tijd, heb je ook nodig bij al dat moois, en ruimte om een instrument uit te zoeken en je krijgt pas advies wanneer je daar om vraagt. Al met al een rustige en prettige omgeving om je zoektocht naar fraaie gitaren en mooie basgitaren te beëindigen, althans voor het moment dan. Complimenten aan de medewerkers, allemaal liefhebbers van deze snaarinstrument, die je graag willen dat je een tevreden klant bent.

Die Betreuung durch Tom war wunderbar! Wie ein geduldiger Freund, der sich sehr bemüht hat, auf meine Wünsche einzugehen. Am Ende habe ich durch seine Auswahl das Instrument gefunden, das für mich das beste war. Und für meine alte Lakewood habe ich einen sehr fairen Preis bekommen. Alles gut! Hartelijk bedankt, Tom!

Tom heeft mij uitstekend geholpen om een weloverwogen keuze te maken door na een gesprek de verschillende modellen Martin naast elkaar te zetten. Wat ik ook leuk vind is dat je bij jullie compleet vrij bent en in de kamer ook alleen gelaten wordt om de gitaren te bespelen etc. En de koffie is altijd goed. Ik ben blij met mijn Martin!!

I live in the UK and saw the guitar I was looking for (Furch Blue G-CM) advertised on Reverb. When I saw that the seller - The Fellowship of Acoustics - was based in the Netherlands, I was slightly reluctant to proceed with the purchase (having previously had a bad experience with another overseas company). I need not have worried though: the service from TFOA was exemplary throughout. I asked if they could email me photos of the bridge/saddle so that I could be confident that I could have the guitar set up as I liked it here in the UK. The photos were duly provided together with the offer to set up the guitar to my requirements prior to shipping. Three days later the guitar arrived via DHL, very well packaged and in perfect condition. TFOA also supplied a nice gig bag (Furch do not provide one with this particular model) and their luthier had fitted new strings as part of the set up. Even though I had to pay VAT, Duty taxes and a bank fee (for overseas purchase), the guitar still came in £170 cheaper than the cheapest UK seller I could find. I will definitely return to TFOA for future purchases.

Reeds vele jaren breng ik regelmatig met veel plezier een bezoek aan TFOA. Het is iedere keer genieten van de vele droom-gitaren, de fijne service en de unieke locatie. Het is een totaal-beleving voor iedere gitarist. Ondertussen ben ik 'verslaafd' aan Lowden: prachtige gitaren met een uniek fantastisch geluid. Is er een shop waar men zo'n keuze heeft als bij TFOA? Daarom heb ik nu een geweldige Lowden O22c kunnen kopen. Een fantastisch instrument! Deze shop is echt een aanrader voor iedereen. Rudi, Coen, Laura en alle medewerkers staan altijd goedgezind klaar met deskundig advies. Top!

Meine neue Atkin J-43 ist neben meiner The Nineteen die Beste Gitarre die ich bisher hatte. Und nebenbei noch eine Schönheit mit einem Hauch von Aging-Flair. Das von mir gewünschte Setup wurde, bis auf eine kleine Abweichung, wirklich fast perfekt umgesetzt. Das habe ich so sonst noch nirgendwo anders erlebt. Wirklich prima zu sehen, dass es Kundenservice tatsächlich noch geben kann. Dies war mein 1. Kauf bei TFOA, aber vermutlich nicht mein Letzter. I placed an order from Germany last Wednesday at 10:15. The following Thursday at 9:59 the item arrived in Germany from the Netherlands. Fantastic. An unforeseen issue was resolved by the seller within 30 minutes by phone and email. Perfect. It couldn't be better. I'd be happy to order again. First contact via phone: Your team member was very friendly and was so supportive that he grabbed the guitar to give me the best answers to my questions. 11 from 10 points! 2. Communication after ordering was fast, as expected from experts in online sales. 10 from 10 points. 3.
