The website shows all angles of each product so you can really pre-judge the cosmetic condition and the whole ordering experience is very reassuring with follow up emails and if necessary ready phone response from the proprietor. Very reassuring to receive a high end product properly wrapped to ensure cushioned transit on all six sides.

I’ve never reviewed ANYTHING. Was waiting for someone to deserve my effort. Marco deserves it. Was looking for a recently released limited Leica lens and my normal supplier could not get hold of one. Searching online I came across Schouten. Communication was great and I asked about a second lens I had been looking for for years, and he had that too! So there I was faced with the prospect of transferring a 5 figure euro amount to someone I had never done business with or met before, and in another country at that. What with Leica GAS there was nothing to do but hope for the best. Or at least hope to avoid the worst. Well the lenses came exactly as described, very fast and perfectly packaged. But with Marco it was more than just that. Communication during the whole process was extremely competent and prompt. I don’t know how many customers he has. We’re talking esoteric camera gear here. But it must be low enough that he can deal with them on such an individual and personal basis but high enough that he can run such a professional business and have access to the good stuff. I wish all transactions were like this. Online and offline. Looking forward to buying from him again. I’m sure the time will come.
