I was in the market for a new laptop mainly for software engineering and audio production. After finding Laptop With Linux I discovered that a new model was soon to become available with the new 12th gen Intel chips. I put my name on the waiting list. As soon as they were available I received an email to let me know and I went and purchased one right away. I opted for laser engraving on the lid etc too. The machine was built, installed and shipped to my office in the UK in less than a week. And what a machine it is. Much lighter than I expected given the high spec, and a nice slick design. The OS was installed to an adequate standard, though of course I added my own tweaks. Hardware wise almost everything was set up correctly. The Nvidia Graphics driver was set to to be used on-demand rather than all the time so it was defaulting to the built in Intel graphics driver. Also the trackpad has an integrated fingerprint reader that is recognised by Linux, but not yet supported by kde or gnome.

Ordered the 15.6 inch ultrabook and have no complaints - shipped within days, and Debian install was absolutely painless.

I wanted to explore Linux but didn't know how. So ok, get a laptop with Linux already installed. This lead me here. Peter Pont answered all my questions in a timely manner and with utmost honesty. You get to pick the software and hardware when they assemble your laptop. I placed my order 4th of July and got it 3 days later. People, I live in Charlottesville, Virginia and this unit came from the Netherlands. 4 days - regular shipping. Everything worked, everything came as advertised. 4 days! If only more companies can be like this.

This is the 6th computer my family has bought here, and each time the experience is better an better. My parent's mini was hit by lightning and was fried. Peter offered to recover the date from the old SSD and then copied it over to the new machine they bought. It is amazing having someone like Peter who stands behind his products. I know I can always ask him a question and get a answer and a solution. I would only buy from here. I have recommended Laptop with Linux to many people (the problem is convincing people to move to Linux). Peter sells quality products, fully customizable and at a great price. Shipping is very fast and inexpensive. I cannot wait until I need my next computer.

I have been using a linux desktop for over 15 years. Buying computers and laptops was always problematic because I had to think in advance what could work on it and what could not. The laptop I received NS50MU 15.6-inch Linux Ultrabook fully meets my expectations. Also, I have to thank Peter who created the non-existent Croatian keyboard.

De laptop is snel, gemakkelijk om mee te werken, duidelijk en overzichtelijk toetsenbord, sterke accu met stevige stroomkabels en een heldere monitor met een scherp beeld.

A beautiful piece of hardware. I've been wanting a Linux laptop for a long time. I've played with Dells and HP's that were somewhat adequate but this... A purpose built Linux laptop is finally here and this one is stunning. I called and asked that they set it up with openSuSE which was no problem at all. And everything works! Works perfectly with my PLEX server. NO problems with wireless connections. It does everything well as far as I've been able to tell at this point. The 17" display is gorgeous, indeed the full package is highly attractive that I find myself briefly buffing off fingerprints I've left on the outer case when I'm done for the evening. It was assembled and shipped quickly. I consider it a good value in comparison to commonly known brands. I know that conscientious companies want customers to tell them what they could have done better. In this case, I have no idea. Maybe engrave your logo on the top of the lid and make a checkbox on the form to NOT add a logo? Opt out vs. opt in. OK there's your scathing criticism. (wink) You should be proud of your product as it is a winner. I highly recommend.

I like all the options available, and the process of choosing was straight forward. The disk partition exactly as I asked for, 5 partitions, all the right size, in the order I asked for. The company happily installed 2 OSes for me to try out. I really intended to install Debian myself. Debian wasn't one of the options for OS, but I was able to install it on one of the partitions without any problems. (I'm an old hand at Debian.) The Debian-based OS that came on the system were a fall-back and assured me that Debian would work fine. Service was efficient. I've had the computer for 2 months now, and everything seem to be top notch. Well built. Nice system overall that seems worth the cost to me. I chose it over a System 76 offering because of the included headphone/microphone jack. Only questionable thing is that the fan goes on and off frequently, even when I'm not pounding on the CPU much. Part of the minibox gets a bit warm. I've never owned a minicomputer before, so I'm not sure if it's normal. Hope it doesn't affect the hardware longevity.
