Probably because of the global shortage of components, one of the options I chose was not available and I was given an upgrade to the a slightly better version at no extra charge. I am very pleased with the laptop. It is solid and well made and performing flawlessly.

The laptop arrived safely and quickly even though I am in the US. Had a question about the laptop and heard back with the answer I needed the very next business day! Very happy with my purchase.

Honestly they nailed everything to the exact detail. 100% will buy products from them again! And the delivery was so quick even from across the nation.

Een aandachtspuntje: Vooraf een helder overzicht van de betalingsopties. (Ik dacht op een zeker punt, toen u mij meldde nog geen betaling te hebben ontvangen, iets irreguliers te hebben gedaan met de initiële keuze voor de optie in3.)

Mijn eerste beoordeling, hiervoor, aangepast na terugzending minicomputer en instelling door Laptop met Linux. -- Allereerst: Ik ben zeer tevreden over de verleende service en hoop hiermee de eerdere beoordeling gecorrigeerd te hebben. Hieronder volgt het verhaal. Na het genereuze aanbod: - om de mini-Nuc11 computer naar LaptopMetLinux terug te sturen om alles goed in te stellen, - heb ik dat aanbod aangenomen en de NUC opgestuurd, - na korte tijd weer terug ontvangen, - tevens een mail ontvangen waarin e.e.a. werd uitgelegd, - inmiddels alle bestanden weer geïnstalleerd en alles uitgetest, geen 'secure boot' meer, geeft ellende bij linux. - geen problemen meer met bootable usb-sticks, waarmee ik backups maak. - geen meldingen meer over ongeldige certificaten, e.d. - over het algemeen werkt alles perfect. Een probleempje had ik nog: Mijn beeldscherm, met een resolutie van 2560 x 1440 pixels, heb ik verbonden met een lightning-kabel, geen hdmi. Mijn geluidskaart wordt na iedere (her)start van 'Analog Stereo Duplex' teuggezet naar HDMI-geluid dat wil ik niet. Dit lijkt me meer een probleem van linux mint-maté. Dit opgelost via een scriptje in 'Startup Aplications'. Kortom alles werkt weer. Maar ik blijf wel nieuwsgierig naar de oplossingen ;-) Ik vind dit een groot compliment waard voor iedereen van Laptop met Linux die aan de oplossing heeft meegewerkt. ---------- vorige beoordeling, hierboven gecorrigeerd. Zeer trage start. Door de kennelijk veel striktere biosregels met betrekking tot 'secure-boot' is het met LInux Mint mate 20.3 en LMDE-Cinnamon installeren erg zoeken naar een geschikte nieuwere kernel. Booten m.b.v. een bootable us-stick lukt alleen als secure-boot is geactiveerd. Anderzijds is booten met het Operating systeeem soms alleen mogelijk als 'secure boot' uitgeschakeld is. Kennelijk is de mini-pc nog te nieuw voor een Linux-installatie.

Excellent so far! Superior to the other options for laptops with pre-installed linux. One suggestion for an additional option in the Linux configuration. It would be nice to be able to select the desktop environment. Ubuntu is default Gnome, but I prefer Unity and had to spend some time upgrading to this. I realize this may be a pain on your side, and is really an issue with Ubuntu still having gnome as the default. Just thought it might be useful to mention. Other than that everything worked great. It was also very cool that the savings due to linux install was passed on (note: previously I bought a Dell with Linux, but currently they are so restrictive and don't pass on the savings, where linux option is more expensive and with lesser HW) Your site was a welcome find. I ordered a customized Clevo laptop which was delivered in France in barely a week. The chosen spare parts are specified, and of good quality (Kingston, Samsung). The support was very reactive and serious during this period to answer all my questions, and afterwards to help me to fix some configuration details a bit sharp. Bravo, I am very happy to have chosen Laptopwithlinux and I recommend them without hesitation.

Great product, delivered on time and excellent after sale support

Modifying the basic specification was easy on the website. Payment included UK VAT. The order was dispatched very promptly, and was tracked. I had a moment of panic when the courier (UPS) sent me an email saying that I needed to pay customs duties, even though I had paid these to the supplier in advance, so I emailed laptop with Linux. Peter Port quickly emailed me back to say that the duty had been paid, and very soon after that UPS updated the delivery to 'duty-paid', and the delivery came slightly earlier than the stated slot. The laptop was carefully and neatly packed to protect it against damage. The specification and added programs were as I had requested, and all is working well. Apart from the temporary hitch over the VAT, everything went as smoothly as if I had bought a laptop from a UK supplier. What else could be done? It would be helpful if the website provided details of the customs situation in the event that the laptop had to be returned for repair, and guidance on the retention of packaging for such return. Also, what to do if a repair was needed outside the guarantee period, and what the user can do to source and replace the battery or similar components (and how to do it himself/herself) at a later date. It would also be helpful if the laptop came with a printed list of all the components used in its construction and guidance on how to alter UEFI/BIOS settings if needed, and a list of the default settings. (The UK supplier of my LINUX desktop did this). Finally, why does the website not list accessories such as laptop cases and sleeves to fit the various sizes?

Voor dat ik de bestelling plaatste contact gehad om een aantal vragen beantwoord te krijgen. Zeer snelle en uitgebreide reactie op ontvangen. De laptops werden in no-time geleverd en conform bestelling. Bij het installeren van het OS liep ik tegen een aantal zaken aan, ook hierbij zeer goed geholpen. Bij het configureren van de laptop was er de mogelijkheid om een tweede hdd bij te bestellen, dit heb ik niet gedaan omdat ik nog een hdd had die ik hierin wilde plaatsen. Dientengevolge waren de extra spullen t.b.v. de hdd niet aanwezig. Navraag leverde dat deze spullen alsnog nagezonden gaan worden. Uitstekende service vooraf EN achteraf.

Net helemaal weg bij alle grote spelers (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, linkedIn, Twitter, ...) en helemaal decentraal (Fediverse) en open-source (Linux). Zelfs mijn smartphone. Ik ben Fullstack webontwikkelaar dus niet onbekend met Linux maar het was toch wel even spannend om naar een volledig Linux werkstation te gaan. De afhandeling door Laptop met Linux was echter vlot en plug-and-play. Ik ben er erg blij mee en het is een verademing om eindelijk helemaal weg te zijn bij de grote hybris van Big Tech.

Graag info over met welke toets je in het BIOS komt, en met welke toets, indien aanwezig, je een opstartmenu te zien krijgt. En enige uitleg over het BIOS, want nadat het me gelukt was er in te komen, zag ik niet waar ik de opstartvolgorde kon instellen. Ik wil nl. graag dat mijn laptop altijd eerst naar USB kijkt.

Ondanks de opgave om LibreOffice te installeren, was dit niet gedaan. Ook in de naam voor de computer waren wat letters door elkaar gegooid; haast?

De laptop is prima. Ik heb alleen een paar vragen: - Ik mis led's voor Caps en Num Lock - Hoe stel ik een andere kleur toetsenbord verlichting in?

Laptop arrived well within specified delivery schedule. Have experience of Cleevo laptops from previous purchases elsewhere and this appears very much up to expectations. Bought without an OS but had Ubuntu installed and up and running in no time. Hope it gives years of reliable service.

- A mistake was done in the preparation of my laptop. Within one opening day the support proposed several possible solutions, up to my choice. - The machine is excellent. Quiet and fast. Sharp screen. Lightweight. It came with Mint perfectly installed. A pleasure to use :-)

Very quick delivery, excellent laptop

I was not expecting my order to arrive within two to three days after I have submitted my order! That was super fast, especially from an overseas company! Everything was installed! Including programs such as Ghidra and OpenVPN that I included in the notes. Everything is fully functional! I have two concerns that I want to share. My first concern is that I wish that these laptops had a way of indicating whether or not my caps lock is on or off. My second and final concern is that I wish there was an option to buy a camera cover because I am that paranoid. Other than that, I have no issues.
