There at not many people who sell linux laptops in the Netherlands. So I was happy when I encountered you. The company replied fast to emails and were kind. The delivery was fast and I am very happy with the product. So 5 stars all the way!

The whole shipment process was very smooth. I was glad that the service counter helped me promptly as it happened that I needed a verification of the payment by the counting department (where I work). The notebook works as expected. Even the good old Debian 10 with kernel bpo works smoothly. WiFi becomes accessible after installing the binary blobs firmware-iwlwifi and firmware-realtek. The only thing what could be improved is the manual: There is a manual shipped in form of a CD, but the shipped notebook has no CD tray. Maybe it would be better to put the content of the CD on the shipped installation USB stick? Also a small instruction in how to open the notebook and replace the hard disk / memory, etc. would be very appreciated.

My story is quite long to tell because of AMD shortage. Skipping the details, I eventually got what I wanted, with no Windows and at the great price. Excellent customer service, thanks to Peter.

I had an ailing IBM T80 (bought second hand in 2009) which I was stuggling to keep up to date, and which was struggling to keep up (starting with Ubuntu 12 needing the PAE flag, My CPU supports PAE but doesn't have the flag). Almost everything was a chore, kind of the usual Window fan summary of the linux experience. I never got printing to work (yes, I am a unix admin!) and wireless was just a pain. A friend recommended laptopwithlinux, I put together a machine to meet my budget, sticking with ubuntu as it's an old friend now. 250GB SSD (bigger than the IBM T80 disk) AND a 1TB SSD for user data! I added LUKS and kept CPU and RAM at the low end. Arrived pretty quickly considering it was over the 12th of July holiday, very well packaged. Plugged it in... and it just worked. WiFi - no problem (I just got fibre, I am getting 150Mbps over WiFi) Printing - no problem Install dislocker to use bitlocker USB devices I have - no problem Install Stellarium - no problem, and way faster now Install samba to share to a couple of old Wintel laptops - no problem Install nfs to share to the T80 - no problem Open a few spreasheets I use a lot on the Wintel (work) laptop - no problem Biggest problem is reorganising 1TB of stuff from the various machine backups and de-duplicating. Once that's done there is going to be a big clearing out! rsync to the Raspberry Pi with a 1TB USB drive is the next project for backups of the data disk... I don't forsee a problem!

I had asked for installation of the distribution KDE-Neon (User Edition, German), which was not yet available at that time. Super service! Even more beautiful in reality than in the product pictures - to my taste. (Fingerprints are easily visible on the black version, it quickly becomes stained. If that bothers you, go for the silver version.) + Extremely pleasant touchpad + All special keys as well as the keyboard illumination function properly + Exceptionally pleasant keyboard. Long, text-intensive work possible without problems + Connection to an external 32-inch 4K monitor via Thunderbolt USB-C works flawlessly without any further settings -/+ The fan was relatively loud, even under low load. After installing the "Tuxedo Control Center", the device runs silently even under load. Recommendation: The Control Centre should be preinstalled by default. However, this is not a problem in everyday use.

Order placed on a Friday morning (laptop with no ram, no hd) and already shipped in the afternoon. Got it on Tuesday in Switzerland. After a couple of weeks of use I'd say I am very satisfied.

Ordered a clevo NL51LU 15.6" for the daughter. Received within 3 days to the UK. First impressions, wow! From power on, to a desktop (mint xfce) with a browser <5 seconds. Lightweight, feels really well made, extremely silent. Some very nice features, as in open lid after suspend powers on. So impressed I ordered a second for myself with more ram (of course). Was so impressed I told my colleagues, one of which promptly ordered one for himself. Been in IT for +- 30 years, very impressed with the feel, look and perf of this device. Will certainly continue to sing its praises. Well done to the laptopwithlinux team for a well delivered product. I am a fan!!

I am returning to college and required a laptop with linux, a quick search brought me to the laptop with linux site. Looking at the specs and offers available I was happy enough with what i saw but it was only when I got in touch via Whatsapp that I realized this was a company I would like to support. They were helpful and responded quickly but not just that, they were friendly easy to chat to. A special shout out to Peter who I was chatting with via Whatsapp, thanks for being awesome! The laptop I got was ready to go from the moment i turned it on. All the software I looked for was there and waiting. The laptop itself is fast and clean. I'm still bumbling around linux and trying to to find my feet but I;m loving doing so on this machine. I hope to get another one from them in years to come.

I had a few questions while ordering my laptop. Everyone I reached out to responded quickly, and had the knowledge and patience to help me through the whole process. My laptop came way quicker than the website stated for an estimate, which was a wonderful surprise. It was in great condition and I am very happy with its speed and functionality. Ik ben ZZP en doe veel .NET ontwikkeling api's op services/ azure en windows speelt geen grote rol hierbij, persoonlijk, hoewel ik dat van jongsaf heb gebruikt (zeg, versie 3.0). Echter, ik denk dat Windows 10 of 11 die penetrante positie op laptops niet verdient op de markt. Al jaren lang staan irritante bugs open, nachtlicht bijv, niet uit te zetten. Telemetry, gaat altijd bij elke patch weer aan. File Shadow Copy, (backup) om nog iets te noemen, staat doodleuk 5 minuten te wachten voordat je iets aan de UI schermen kunt doen (bij het openen). MS neemt Windows duidelijk NIET serieus, terwijl zij en vele anderen INTERN dat wel doen met Linux. Daarom dus, overstappen op Linux.

Toen in mei 2021 mijn oude desktop-PC de geest gegeven had kocht ik bij "LaptopmetLinux" een heel kleine maar fijne "mini-PC". Waar ik bij de aanschaf al uitgebreide voorlichting en advies kreeg van Peter Pont, bleek dat men het daar niet bij laat. Toen, door dom en/of ondeskundig handelen van mij, de Linux-installatie geheel van slag was en die fijne mini-PC onbruikbaar was, bleek ook de 'nazorg' van "LaptopmetLinux" van grote klasse te zijn. Zonder kosten werd de installatie weer geheel opnieuw uitgevoerd en had ik snel mijn mini-PC weer werkend terug. Zoekt U een computer zonder Windows, dan kan ik iedereen dit bedrijf aanbevelen. Ik heb mijn laptop snel en volgens specificatie gekregen. Vind het sowieso goed en fijn dat er Linux laptops te krijgen zijn! Een bevestiging van de encryptie per mail was handig geweest, kwam nu via SMS zonder dat meteen duidelijk was waar het over ging. Al met al een prima ervaring!

Je l'ai maintenant depuis quelques jours, j'ai pris le Clevo NV41MZ 14-inch sous Ubuntu et il est formidable. J'ai pu installer quelques jeux, logiciels de développement et bidouiller un peu l'OS et Gnome sans problème. J'ai également trouvé par hasard que cet ordinateur contenait une caméra IR, ce qui m'a permis d’intégrer la reconnaissance faciale (comme windows Hello) comme méthode d'authentification rapide grâce à howdy (https://github.com/boltgolt/howdy). J'utiliserai pleinement cet ordinateur quand je partirai dans les iles subantarctique pour une expédition scientifique d'un an, je mettrais à jour mon avis en rentrant ;) Bref, pour le prix, sous linux, il n'y a pas mieux comme PC customisable.

After order, I was warned that french keyboard was not directly available: to avoid the wait (for them to be delivered with one), I asked to change it to US keyboard. The overall process was very smooth with great communication from the company side.
