I wanted a new laptop with a good quality screen to run Ubuntu Mate for development purposes. After quite a lot of research, I settled on the TongFang GX5 15.3-inch Metal Ultrabook from Laptop With Linux, and was not disappointed. The screen is excellent, performance seems very good, and the laptop was delivered only a few days after I placed the order. Highly recommended.

Found a good range of options to customise the laptop as I wanted and felt like a reasonable price for the spec. Dispatched very quickly and received 2-3 days later well packaged. Been happy with the laptop since using for the last couple of weeks.

This has been may second purchase with Laptop with Linux. The first, a ubuntu laptop is now 3 years old and works perfectly and without fault the whole time. the new laptop was purchased without Linux for a Windows 11 install and it works just as well as the first.

The selection and customizing of the laptop is simple and clear. Only thing which should be clearer is that you can get the laptop delivered to a country outside of Europe but then you have to go to another site: the dot com site. Delivery was in a week after acknowledgement of payment for the other side of the world. The only thing that went wrong was the ordered extra charger was not included but that was handled in a friendly and satisfactory way. Another thing is that with online shopping you must be extra carefull, The laptop has a keyboard which is strange for me. The left shift key is too small so I will have to use an external keyboard. I should have noted it because it is to be seen in the pictures. Another thing I didn't note was that some of the connections are at the back. But that made me aware that the battery doesn't last as long: not seven hours but only about five. I haven't tested the battery further. Note that I haven't checked the features comprehensively. I'm still in the process of installing and configuring.

Hoewel de levering een dag later werd dan aangekondigd bij de bestelling is de totale levertijd net binnen een week gebleven. Ik heb gevraagd om geen OS te installeren en dat is dus ook niet gebeurd. Op het moment dat ik zelf een OS installeerde bleek dat de ethernet controller niet herkend werd, na een mailtje naar latop with linux kreeg binnen een paar uur een likn naar hun web site waar ik de driver kon vinden. Misschien een tip om het papier waarop een password wordt vermeld (dat niet nodig was in mijn geval), voor klanten die net als ik ook geen OS kiezen, alvast te melden dat ze hoogstwaarschijnlijk de driver voor de ethernet controller nodig hebben.

This is the second laptop I've bought here. In both cases, they're good machines at a fair price. You save the time of installing Linux and have the satisfaction of not having to pay MS for a useless Windows. Delivery is fast and trouble-free.

Mooi dat je zelf veel kunt kiezen en aanpassen.. Beter dan een laptop te kopen die net niet voldoet aan wat je zou willen en waar je dan bovendien ook nog eerst windows af moet slopen voordat je lekker aan de gang kan met linux ('gewoon' Ubuntu in mijn geval...) Het in elkaar zetten lukte ook nog binnen de 2 beloofde werkdagen dus allemaal sterretjes voor LmL!!!

Peter, in particular, takes support to a level that even surpasses Lenovo Premium Service – and that’s an achievement! Faster, more competent, and always helpful – that makes all the difference. The device itself impresses with outstanding build quality and is a joy to use. The speakers (which I was most worried about) are actually good – though they won’t rival Dolby-equipped devices. The personalized engraving and the support during the customization process are standout features that show how much they value customer satisfaction – both are so remarkable that even MacBook speakers wouldn’t stand a chance against their impact. Receiving the Windows drivers via email was smooth. Sure, a central download link on the website would be even more convenient, but given their rapid response time, it’s more than acceptable. Minor downsides: The bottom panel feels a bit tricky, though this only matters if you order the device without storage or RAM. The non-captive screws are slightly behind other top-tier devices, but not a big deal – unless you lose one while tinkering. What really annoyed me was the extreme adhesive of the AMD stickers – especially the Ryzen sticker, which seemed determined to engrave itself into the chassis. It would be nicer if stickers were optional and not pre-applied by TangFang – who needs stickers when the following engraving is this cool? Finally, I have to emphasize once more: The service – especially from Peter – is top-notch! Thanks for the great support and an excellent product!

Writing this about a year after I bought my laptop. I needed help because I messed up a Mint upgrade and the laptop wouldn't boot. Emailed these guys, they responded straight away, gave me the solution and exact steps on how to fix it and the laptop works fine again. This isn't the first time I needed their support and they are always good. Their prices were also the best when I bought my Linux laptop (jan 2024). I can only recommend them.

Attention! This is clearly not for beginners - in that case, remove 4 stars to my rating! This is a niche shop for us, nerds who already know what they want to purchase. Linux is a great alternative to Windows, however, the main "con" is we often struggle with drivers, comptability issues, etc. Laptopwithlinux solves all that pain for you. Icing on the cake, you can deeply customize your laptop the way you want and the "camera hider" is already built-in. Recommended!

Made an order request that was ignored. Their response was that I should make another order with the same request and that they would not help with the prior situation. ??? When this discrepancy was pointed out, customer service decided to be obnoxious and stop responding. Yikes.

I wanted an Ubuntu notebook as a supplement to my dektop purchased formerly from Laptop with Linux, and again I'm really happy to have gotten an excellent Ubuntu notebook within a very short time. I'm using both computers, my desktop and my notebook, on a daily base. Both computers were configured very well. I'm very satisfied. Thank you very much, dear employees of Laptop with Linux!

I am very happy and excited about my new personalized Linux laptop (Clevo V560TU 16-inch Linux Ultrabook) which is free from Windows. There is no Windows logo key on the keyboard (that makes me so happy), I am also happy about the Open-Source BIOS firmware. I have been actively using various Linux distributions (ubuntu, mint, manjaro) for the last 15 years and I just wanted a real Linux laptop after so many years. LaptopwithLinux was my right choice because it offers the freedom to choose every single component of the laptop so that everyone can build their own laptop according to their wishes and needs.
