Prompt response to issue of not booting with external 7.68TB Micron 5210 SSD connected either to USB 3.0 or USB C. Turned out to be my problem: There are rare cases where laptops whith an externally connected HDDs or SSDs, in my case a 7.68TB Micron 5210 SSD do not boot. I have a Tuxedo laptop with this problem, and now a Clevo notebook from LaptopwithLinux. However, In these rare cases where a computer does not boot if an external drive is connected one can low format the external drive (HDD or SSD), format the drive again, and put the data back on the drive. In two external drives this solved the problem: My old Tuxedo notebook as well as my new LaptopwithLinux notebook are now booting with the culprit external drives connected without any issues.

For something to improve, please allow HDD-only for all combinations, the speed difference is not so significant with large RAM caches.

It took just four days from ordering to delivery. It worked straight out of the box. My only slight quibble is that the company says that its products are Windows compatible, and the box I bought was. However, the system does not have a TPM chip, so installing Windows 11 needed some modification to the registry, which was a bit of a fiddle, but not too difficult. I now have it running Windows 11 Pro and Linux Mint as a virtual machine. So far, so good....

Duidelijk en overzichtelijk proces om de machine te samenstellen. Behoorlijk snel geregeld. Persoonlijk opgehaald en prettig te woord gestaan en vlot weer op pad. Machine werkt perfect, zoals verwacht, zeer vlot met mega opslagruimte en prima beeld. Aparte partitie voor de home directory is ingesteld zoals gevraagd.

Teveel gerekende voor bezorging werden spontaan zonder dat ik erom vroeg de volgende dag teruggestort omdat jullie ontdekt hadden dat verzending veel goedkoper kon

Schnelle Bestellabwicklung und Lieferung. Hardware funktioniert einwandfrei unter dem eingesetzten Linuxsystem. Nur die Druckereinstellung war in den Systemsettings nicht aufzufinden. Erst nach Internetrecherche war die Druckereinstellung möglich. Akkukapazität ist mit 2,75h Laufzeit für diesen Laptop an der unteren Grenze.

Laptop delivered promptly and without any problems

I ordered my laptop without an OS or RAM or Storage. I ordered the RAM and Storage from a US supplier. LaptopwithLinux outperformed the US supplier on delivery! I needed to contact support to resolve the backlit keyboard driver issue. The response was quick and a link to the driver was provided, but it was not available in a package format for my preferred distribution. I was able to track down the source and compile the driver through the information provided. I can state this laptop is Slackware Linux compatible in addition to the distributions available for pre-installation. Overall, I am more than pleased with the laptop, company, and the service.

My order did not initially go through and I was immediately contacted by the company advising me about the problem and letting me know how to possibly resolve the issue, including contacting their customer service. Then when I placed the order my laptop was configured and shipped in less than a day. It was a pleasure doing business with them. It was the most seamless purchase experience I have ever had.

The laptop has been delivered in Italy in few days. I installed the RAM, the SSD disk (I bought them separately) and Debian without troubles. Great job, thank you!

Mijn vragen voorafgaand aan de aanschaf werden vlot beantwoord. Daardoor maakte ik een goede keuze om een laptop uit te zoeken. Een nieuwe laptop en linux is niet altijd een goede combinatie, maar mijn gebrek aan kennis is prima opgepakt door Laptop met Linux. Geen vraag of verzoek was te gek voor ze. 5 sterren service, 5 sterren laptop. Ik koop mijn volgende laptop weer hier.

I ordered on Friday Dec 30. The next workday was Jan 3 but I received my laptop in the US from the Netherlands on Jan 5. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround. It's a nice machine with no issues found so far. I hope it is durable as well. Customer support set up my account after I failed to check that box at checkout. That was appreciated. Their English language skills are equal to native speakers so there were no barriers to communication. They installed half a dozen or more applications for me in addition to the operating system, and all of them are apps I specified. None of them are unwanted apps I can't remove (or can't easily remove) as with some other devices. Based on owning this machine for a week, I'd recommend Laptop with Linux (or Laptop met Linux in Dutch). I would encourage others not to order a power cable as an accessory if they do so only because they think they need to buy one to recharge the machine. Mine came with a power cable provided along with a second that I thought I needed but actually didn't. The customer service folks will clarify that if you ask before you order. I chose 4.5 stars rather than 5 because I did notice the price and I have only had it a week. If it is still problem free in three years or so, then I should have chosen 5 stars. We'll see if it's durable as well as nice now.

any problems I had getting used to using linux were solved by the great team at laptops with linux thank you Peter . That and the fact they make great products . Laptop is the best I've ever used and the mini desktops are very good . only computers I'll buy from now on

Laptop options were easy to choose on the website. Laptop arrived promptly and operated flawlessly. What more is there to say.

Een supersnelle laptop die er ook nog eens prachtig uitziet. Alles is precies zoals afgesproken geïnstalleerd. De laptop werd snel geleverd.

Ordered my piece before christmas. Guys assembled, installed linux and despatched komputer within one day! Nevertheless I didn’t expect to receive it until next year but today, 30 of December it arrived! Netherlands to Latvia in a week in festive period! Extremely happy and grateful.

Friendly, helpful, and always full of advise. Brilliant to deal with and prompt in their replies. I can't fault Peter and Laurens in their service. Would highly recommend to all.

Suffering from the tumbling dots of doom, the insistence of having a Microsoft account, the underlying profiteering, the trackers, the vulnerability to attack, the slowness--OH the slowness, the endless usurping of my machine for "critical" updates--often when I'm working (!), the crashes, and finally the total lock out, has made Windows for me a complete nightmare. My nature does not thrill on technical aspects of computing. I just need the thing to work! But with your machine, everything has worked straight out of the box. It's fast and full of useful tools. In me you have a new crusader for open source and dedicated professionals striving for a free, unconflicted industry focused just on effective computing. *One thing I do miss is a touch screen, but look forward to getting one from you soon. Otherwise your product has been a godsend. THANK YOU!!! I'm now going to donate to Linux Mint.

Ik bestelde een NUC met Debian, Brave en Tor. En hoewel de bestelling twee dagen later werd geleverd dan was beloofd, waren Debian, Brave en Tor netjes geinstalleerd. Maar er stond ook nog niet gevraagde software (zoals Libreoffice) op. De meegeleverde bloatware was eenvoudig te verwijderen, maar toch. Ook ontbrak de meededeling dat Debian standaard root disabled en je de gevraagde user zelf sudo moet maken. Allemaal net niet 100%. Was dat allemaal in orde geweest, dan had ik dit goed tot zeer goed gescoord. Nu blijft het steken op voldoende.

Mijn nieuwe laptop doet exact wat ik ervan verwachtte. De hele ervaring was transparent en boezemde vertrouwen in. Ik ben heel blij!
