Were I to build the machine i have now in the US, it would be a few thousand bucks, and i'd have to uninstall windows and install the Linux distro i wanted. Laptop with Linux made the customization process so easy and within my budget and offered a wide selection of distros for pre-installation, and even threw in a boot USB. Packaging for international shipping was well done and it was very well protected, and came with insurance. I received it relatively quickly and had no issues with DHL, their chosen shipping merchant, unlike other companies i've had products shipped with. My machine works great, working on it feels great, and it fits my needs exactly. Thanks!

There is a problem with the Audacity program, so if you have an idea why the recording control is stuck at 100%, I would be happy.

Na een test op een oude laptop met Linux Mint zocht ik een leverancier die laptops zonder OS verkocht en kwam ik bij laptopmetlinux terecht. Dit is een prima oplossing doordat je zelf de laptop samen kan stellen qua hardware en software. Handige site (die ook goed werkt qua keuzes en wijzigingen die je door wil voeren!), terugmelding van je keuzes op het scherm en later in de mail. Snel en correct geleverd qua gemaakte keuzes. Kortom een tevreden klant!

battery would not charge. they kicked and dragged handling it and after asking for a ship back & refund, said no saying the warranty was expired and gave a false date. i resent them their invoice from within the same year. this after it took them 6 months to make the laptop after purchase! (and then ship it to me). they also use laptops that dont allow a battery to be easily taken out in the first place. you have to unscrew the whole back panel, unscrew the battery make sure you dont have any static charge, and try and reset the battery several times.in my case it still didnt work. buyer beware! once you click that buy button your stuck with an unserviceable item they wont stand behind.

Als beperkt deskundig op het gebied van Linux was het telefonisch overleg heel helder en de levering ging, ondanks het vele pakketverkeer rond de kerstdagen, prima. Nu komt het meest uitdagende, en dat is de migratie van alle data.

I'm thrilled with my newly assembled Linux laptop. I would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you're considering switching and are unsure! If you have any questions, they're always friendly and helpful! They're very helpful when you mention something's missing from the delivery; it's quickly resolved, and I had it the next day! It's fantastic, and I'm so happy with my purchase!

I unintentionally ordered my laptop configuration with no memory and I was very quickly contacted to ask whether I'd really meant to do that. Once that was sorted out (in a few hours, with the delay all being on my side), the turnaround to delivery at my front door was just two days. Everything pre-configured as requested; a sturdy and stylish piece of kit that so far (less than a week in) is performing very well. I haven't quite managed to pension off the old Windows laptop yet but I'm not far off as far as settings and software go. Then I can perhaps convert that over to Linux Mint too!

Op zoek naar een zakelijke Linux laptop, gevonden en besteld. Het was mijn eerste bestelling bij Laptopwithlinux, dus altijd spannend. Maar goede communicatie, snel geleverd en correct verpakt. Laptop zelf is van goede kwaliteit. De werking is perfect, netjes voorgeïnstalleerd, incl. de applicaties die ik meegeïnstalleerd wilde hebben. Kortom, erg tevreden! Zelfs zo tevreden dat ik er nog 1 besteld heb, maar dan voor privé. Kan Laptopwithlinux zeker aanbevelen!

Ik zocht een laptop voor fotobewerking (GIMP en RawTree). Maar niet meer afhankelijk van Microsoft. Ik had ervaring met Ubuntu en behoefte aan een nieuwe - lees: snellere - PC. De gok gewaagd voor een Ubuntu-laptop met snellere processor bij 'laptopmetlunix'. Ervaring: zeer snelle levering (binnen 48 uur), geheel volgens specificaties ingericht en een groeiend en hoopvol vertrouwen op hulp bij eventuele problemen.

Laptop, dispatched very quickly. International (to UK from EU) shipping no problem, no issues with customs, duty etc. Laptop very sturdy, staff very responsive to some questions I had about linux on the machine. Great service and company.

I ordered the Clevo NP50RNA. I've repurposed other laptops with Linux. However, the install was solid. The device is solid from a performance, stability, and even a physical perspective. I'll definitely come back to this company for my next.

If all computer vendor were like LaptopwithLinux, Linux-Distros would be by now prevailing over (toss out of) Windows.

I happened upon Laptop with Linux after being skeptical about the Mint Linux and Ubuntu options on Amazon. I googled/bing'd Laptops with Linux installed and found a few places, and after researching the options and pricing that Laptop with Linux had, I chose them. I was a bit hesitant since they were based in Europe but I am glad I chose them. Pound for pound, Gig for Gig I believe they were the best option out there. I have bought a mini-pc from System 76 before and it was a great machine, but they do not offer Mint and I wanted to try something different from Ubuntu and I am not as fond of Pop OS. Laptop with Linux offers so many Distros! Impressive! So, my machine is a 14" with metal case and so many modern ports it is amazing! Chris the Customer Service guy was so helpful and did not treat me like a number, he connected personally through email and it really made me feel like I could trust them. The laptop got to North Carolina so fast through DHL it made the whole thing easy. Just knowing that my machine was built and customized just for me and got here in around 4 days was amazing! I will be a repeat buyer!

Laptop with Linux provides excellent options for ordering a laptop with any of multiple Linux distros preinstalled. Also lost of options for the hardware and even custom laser engraving of the laptop lid, etc. The provide excellent customer service, are quick to answer questions and reply to emails. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because the computer screen keeps on randomly flickering...from the day I got the laptop even until now several months later! On their website they claim that they "select hardware that is perfectly tuned and optimized for use with Linux operating systems" and also "As a customer you can be sure that a laptop or computer purchased at laptopwithlinux.com will fully function with your chosen Linux system and you will experience the convenience of a system that comes pre-installed out-of-the-box with Linux." That is true - with the exception that my laptop screen continues to flicker randomly...which is annoying. Having said that, I do have to also mention, that whenever I write about screen flickering, etc. they respond promptly and professionally and are very friendly (5 stars!). (But unfortunately the problem with screen flickering has still not yet been resolved.)
