I have used Gasspringsshop several times. Service is always exemplary with prompt delivery and great product. Good online tool to calculate exactly what you need and a human on the end of the phone/email to assist if needed. Always check that you've got your springs in the right way round!

Had a difficult problem with an opening roof for a telescope observatory (90kg with difficult angles). The online calculator was superb and very accuate and helped me out of a big problem. Fast delivery and well packaged. It is not often that I say this - cannot be faulted.

I built a garden BBQ hut, and made a canopy top, which I wanted to hinge , so that it acted as a security screen at night. I have never worked with gas struts before,and after ordering some cheap sets from Amazon, and realising they were not ok, I found myself at the Gasspringshop. I noticed that there was a calculation tool, and was really impressed with the amount of choice and inputs available. I selected the hinges roof option, entered in the overall dimensions, and the material to ensure that the weight was correct, and then looked at the results. The results told me which spring and which ends to use, and really helpfully, where to put the ends for optimal performance. I ordered the suggested kit, based on this level of detail, making sure that I had taken a few screenshots of the calculations to ensure I could replicate them on my BBQ hut. The products arrived within 1 day of ordering, which I wasn't really expecting. The components look robust, well constructed, the ends having a solid feel and durability about them. The product was more expensive than I was expecting, but after the failure of the Amazon units, I was hoping that I was buying quality, and this was reinforced not only by the website, with its calculator, but also now that I had the physical products. I makes out where the ends should be positioned, and as often happens in reality, realised that there would need to be some changes. This was mainly due to the shape and structure of my hut canopy, and nothing to do with the product. I retained the end eye for the strut, and removed the mount bracket, deciding to mount the eye directly on a through bolt, which would work with the hut canopy. After a few trial and error fits, I found a position where the struts closed the canopy with a small amount of effort, and opened it with minimal effort - along with that satisfying whoosh noise. I really can not believe how well they work. Excellent product and service.

I ordered a set of gas lift springs to fit on a canteen stay window. I rang the following day as I realised I’d made an error (not doubling the weight) and Dave was so helpful and patient in going through and checking most of the requirements. This ensured that what arrived was correct and avoided a costly mistake. The item also arrived quickly, so could be fitted in good time.

The simulation software on the website is great and really put my mind at rest when buying some gas struts. It made the whole time simple and painless. Then to cap it off I got a delivery the following day which was great. I've not fitted them as yet so can't confirm how accurate the simulation was but I'm sure it'll be a lot better than my guess. I'm looking forward to getting them fitted and trying it out.

In the field of gas springs they are the best, in my opinion. I think the website is particularly easy to navigate with a wealth of useful information. The icing on the cake is their Calculation programme which simulates real life situations and calculates what gas spring to use and how it should be installed and demonstrates a particular application working.... Brilliant!

Needed struts to lift a caravan bed base. The online calculator did all the hard work.

The quality of the product was excellent. However, the only issue was the calculator. You had to click through dozens of options to find one that could be mounted at the right points. It then only gave the force after I ordered. The force was extremely large and really damaged the frame it was mounted to. Once it was rebuilt and reinforced, it worked very well. I need to order several more for different size applications, so would be good if the calculator could be improved to just show the springs that will work, the force and key mounting points length (A, C, D)

I've logged in to the portal and there is no indication on my order of who is delivering it and when it's due. I've also searched my emails and can't find any emails about it.
