Ordered Tuesday evening, arrived Thursday Morning. Super quick service.

Purchased a gas strut to replace one on a caravan gas locker. The caravan OEM strut was not strong enough to hold the locker lid up. The struts supplied by the Gasspringshop are available in a wide range of strengths, so I purchased one that was slightly stronger than the OEM strut. Very easy to replace, and the locker lid now stays up. Job done.

We have a cellar trap door in an old farm house that was problematic and cumbersome to manage. Using the The Gas Strut calculator feature provided a great mechanism to design, purchase and install an elegant solution which makes entry and exit from the cellar simple and safe. You need to get your head around pivot points and where to measure from but it can be done. We are very impressed with our new Gas Strut solution.

I was able to design what I needed and then see exactly what parts I needed. Then purchase them. They arrived on time and have been fitted and are working as expected.

The design tool appears to work well but needs some additional help text. I got there in the end and ordered the springs which arrived very quickly. Only snag was the installation drawing was way off, probably my fault in using the design tool. However, a simple scale drawing using a compass got it right first time. The springs have made the family bike shed usable for all.

Very simple procedure to procure the goods required. Delivery very prompt.

I ordered a pair of springs, one was bent and the shoes were missing. The bent spring was not their fault but equally it was not mine but I had to pay the return postage. A second pair came back and they did not work as they were not strong enough. I can't get through on the phone, I have submitted two return requests and sent emails, NOTHING. In the mean time I went to SGS Engineering, great service there the next day and helpful on the phone. Also cheaper than this company.

The delivery was quick. The struts were the correct extended length but when fitted to my motorhome's bonnet I was unable to close the bonnet. Looking at at the struts they were borrowing out. Comparing the compressed length the new ones were about 3.5mm longer. this was enough to stop the closing action of the hinges. I emailed Gasspringsshop with the problem, asking for shorter ends (the originals had a different thread although they are shorter). No response so far.

I searched long and hard to find the correct replacement gas springs for my divan bed. Gasspringsshop helped me select the correct ones which were easy to fit and work like a dream.

Pleased to have found a company readily willing to assist and give sound advice. Unfortunately, product purchased didn’t solve my problem and will need to be returned.
