I hope this error can be corrected. I ordered from you two gas springs for my hymer 584 campervan. to replace the struts in my pull down bed. Which I felt were weak and were getting very hard to operate . They have a rating of 1700N so I ordered slightly stronger ones 2500N. The trouble is the old struts with the eyes fitted at either end are 34cm. The new ones which I ordered from you as a direct replacement are 3 cm longer at 37CM with the eyes fitted! The old gas struts are as follows: NITROLIFT GS14-27-150- 200 08/ 2011. 1700N. Your replacement is as follows: ECKOLD GSS14150 2500N. If you wish I can send you photos? Regards. Fergus Moloney.

Great to find a UK company making quality replacments for difficult to source spares. Super fast delivery via DHL. Room for improvement in: Website It is not clear that you have to use the "spring configurator" to buy a gas strut with the ends on it. When I search by manufacturers part number and see a picture of the part I require then I don't expect to have to do any more. Hardware The design of the screw on pivot ends should be modified to have a radius on the end of the boss next to the pivot point rather than the current straight one. This would increase the pivot clearance to 10mm and avoid the need for numerous warnings about pivot clearance on the website. The radius could be cut with the same tool used for drilling the pivot hole, so would cost nothing but simplify and thus improve the customer experience when using the part.

I ordered the wrong gas spring and they refunded the original very quick and set out the new one straight away. Very happy with the service and would definitely use them again.

Fast delivery item as described

Getting the right struts is important. The interactive calculator was a great help. It looks complicated to start with but actually is quite straight forward.

Required some gas struts for a new trailer lid. After scouring the internet I found Gasspringshop. It was so easy to calculate what I needed, sizes, fixings, setting out dims. The worry was all taken away. Worked perfectly.

Experience was good at the start but once something went wrong communication has been poor. Was charged VAT on payment link and looked for refund to my PayPal but no luck so far and have asked if these are the correct parts and have had no response from anyone yet.

The website configurator helps you work out what products are needed and produces CAD drawings which tell you exactly where to mount each end of the gas struts. It works perfectly and the products are really very high quality. I highly recommend them.
