A no nonsense company they had a direct replacement for my old gas strut, and the delivery was sooner than expected. Great service.

When ordered I got dimensions slightly wrong and the unit did not work!! However I rang the help line and was pleasantly surprised as I spoke to a man who gave me at least an hour of his time to correct my mistake!! He re calculated my new dimensions and submitted a new drg which works perfectly great service and really glad I did use cheaper alternatives as no back up would have been received I’m sure. The tools were great. The advice for measuring and fitting is also really good. It has not been installed yet, but this is the most confident I have been that it will work first time.

Gast struts were dispatched immediately and arrived next day. As they didn't suit my installation I went through the return process and they were back with Eckold in a matter of days. The refund was made back to my credit card within a few days. The reason for NOT giving more than 4 Stars, is due the lack of dispatch notification and no information regarding the delivery service provider and no tracking information, Just in case I was not at home or need to divert or amend delivery . As it happened the struts had been posted through the letterbox which I discovered on my return home

good does the job one day late delivery

I purchased four small fittings (M10 Eye) at a cost of £11.64 and was charged £8.38 shipping! The items could have safely been dispatched in a Jiffy bag for a fraction of the cost.

Having never bought a gas spring before. I I went to Gasspringshop.co.uk, typed in angles, dimensions and weights, it did the calculation. The spring arrived next day. I installed it the next day. ‘Feel like I’ve got somewhere.

On line info was better than most but I needed a generic to replace a larder cupboard closer. Length of extension and force was there but the body was 2 cm shorter than the original. It took an hour to make an extension. Then it's fine
