The “tools” that enable customers to build their “problem” and then have it solved for them with the appropriate gas struts and fittings is outstanding. Mine was not a simple problem being a bridge on an outdoor large gauge model railway. The aluminium bridge is 1240mm long and 620 mm wide formed as an overtruss. It had an offset hinge at one end which your tools dealt with admirably. The gas struts have been installed this morning and have performed in the manner predicted by the calculation tool. I am absolutely delighted. I am sure that the many people who will visit the railway will be impressed and I will be pleased to recommend the gas spring shop.

Gas strut that we required was not obvious on website so I called the number on the website and left on speaking to Mark Watton he made sure all specifications were matched and that I chose correct parts 1st time. Having never bought this product before I found it a mine field out there in the internet. I spoke to Mark who guided me through a simple process and I ended up with two struts that were the perfect specifications.

Described as a replacement for the Stabilus Lift-O-Mat 5156Z 0060N. The description stated "The eye with the thickness of 3mm of this replacement gas spring can be shorter than the original. Note that this part of the eye doesn't get in the way.". The cheeks of the eye were too close to the centre and as a result 2mm had to be shaved off the cheeks for the part to fit to the Miele Drawer Warmer. There are no cheeks on the Stabilus.
