Wrong springs and no help

Ordered two gas springs I was sure that I ordered the correct one the conformation email was what I received one size too small. No help from customer service and still haven’t heard on how to return and order the proper springs. Also asked for help to make sure that I ordered Gas Spring the correct springs and I have still not heard from anyone.

Room for improvement in quality assurance

Unfortunately every time I order gas struts from the cokpany, I experience friction points. This time it was the website that was down and I did not receive the tracking information to estimate the time of the arrival. Moreover, I received one of the gas struts as used one, since it had chips on it. It works though. However, if I’m paying the premium price I expect new item.

OK for service, misleading on advertisement.

Hi, As a whole your company was good to deal with up to the point that I needed to order an alternate to the suggested one as it was not in stock. I asked for advice on a different length alternate and was referred back to the filter which is difficult to understand. It would also be nice if you proclaimed the fact that you're an American company instead of running under the the Canadian flag for your website as it appears less than honorable to slam tariffs on us and then hide behind our flag to promote your company.

Very responsive team

My only negative is that your website for choosing springs is designed for the professional user. It's not clear for a non-pro like me what the length in inches is for each spring pictured (they all looked the same to me, so I ended up ordering the wrong one.)

Website was easy to navigate so I was able to custom build a replacement spring at a much lower cost

It was easy to use the website tools to custom build the springs I required. The springs arrived in just less than 2 weeks. My only comment is that there was no tracking provided so I was getting worried if there was shipping problems.

I want to love this company.

I have been using Gasspringshop for over 4 years. The websites calculation tool is extremely useful for finding the right spring. The first handful of springs I purchased were actual STABILUS branded springs. They worked great for several years. In more recent years every spring I've purchased has been a HAHN branded spring. I understand HAHN is now a stabilus company but the quality of spring is noticeably lower. The few sets of HAHN springs I've used have failed after 7 months of normal use while the STABILUS springs still perform great after 3+ years. I have made over 20 phone calls to the company in attempt to speak with someone about the quality difference and the availability of the originally used STABILUS springs. I have left multiple voicemails and been transferred to the sales department over 10 times and still haven't been able to speak with someone about the issue. I use a lot gas springs but have been forced to search elsewhere due to lack of response on this issue.

Absolutely no accountability

For my first order I waited 4 months for delivery, even though it showed in stock on the website. I placed an additional order on Sept 5th of this year, and I still do not have the product. I do not know how you even stay in business. James Reimer

Easy to use website

Overall as a first time customer, I was pleased. The website was easy for ordering. My only complaint is no contact number to verbally reach who I was dealing with when he had an issue with the shipment. Sometimes its just easier to speak with a person.
