No on answers your phones It took 18 emails to accomplish the purchase of one gas spring. Two weeks lead time is ridiculous Still did not receive part before install deadline

I ordered these parts for my business (using them on a piece of heavy machinery. Unfortunately, after ordering, we were informed after emailing them several times that this part was out of stock. About 2 months later, after more prodding, we were given an estimated date. A further two weeks later, the parts arrived via 2-day FedEx. While the wait was inconvenient, manufacturing issues happen. I took off half a star simply for the lack of communication

Every possibility for my needs was listed as out of stock. Wasted a lot of time and energy to figure this out as the online configurator would not flag items that aren’t available. I checked back a week or so later and they had everything I needed back in stock. They communicated multiple time to insure I was satisfied. Still ding one star for configuration tool not being clear about out of stocks.

The program that they have was very helpful in selecting everything that i needed automatically. I know nothing about the selecting and installation, but after their help i felt like a PRO. They literally show you how to set it up and everything WHILE also providing all the mecessary parts. Their communication was quick as well. Their shipping was lightning fast also. I reached out 2 times to contact the company with questions. All I could do was to leave a request for the company to call me. I never received any calls. So much for customer service. This new age where personal contact is left out is very cold, and uncaring. It speaks volumes to the customer that the company is impersonal and uncaring. I was desperate enough to go ahead and chance ordering the lift stays. They are very good and I am happy with them.

Overall went well. I did have to go to a hardware store though. The replacement parts ordered did not come with nuts and the thread was different then what came off. Maybe including the locking nuts for install would be an option or offer a pack for purchase when checking out.

Easily attached and works great

I was able to select a heavier duty gas spring than what originally was installed on my tilt bed trailer. I was also pleased that I could get it in stainless steel which should be more compatible with my aluminum trailer than a ferrous steel gas spring. I wish that Stabilus could have included 4 stainless steel flat washers which would have saved me a 16 mile round trip to Menards considering that one gas spring cost me $161.

Customer service: AWFUL. I was lied to about my order being shipped several times before being told it wasn’t in stock. Couldn’t contact anyone via phone. Never got responses to secondary emails. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in my history of ordering anything. Still trying to figure out how to return what they finally sent me, but I’m sure that will be a disaster as well so i may be better off eating a $200 loss. To sum it all up in one word: garbage.

The sizing program worked great for us to correctly size the Gas Springs that our project required. The delivery time was excellent. The products were as advertised .

I accidentally ordered the wrong struts but was able to get the correct struts sent to me via expedited shipping.

I am not an engineer, but I felt like one after using the software provided. I build a grade-level door for my fermentation cellar. It's made of a full sheet of 1-1/8" plywood, 2x4s and insulation. It's heavy, and the lifters could not interfere with the steps. It came out perfect!!! THANK YOU!!!

I had a hefty trap door I was installing for my basement. The door was made from ash and weighed well over 100 pounds. I used the calculator to help me with sizing and positioning the spring. I followed the measurements I used in the calculator, and it worked perfectly!! I never would have thought I could get a spring in the configuration I did, but the calculator helped me place it in a position that did not interfere with going up and down the stairs.

I was initially excited that the design and calculation feature would be able to tell me which struts I would need for my project. I carefully input all the values and dimensions and didn't give it another thought. I received the struts and waited for the time to install, and after installing only one of the two struts, the total weight of the door was not enough to even begin to compress one of the struts, no less both. Now my customers are frustrated with me, and I don't trust this company to try again; I'll just get the wrong ones all over again. No phone number to call and speak with a person, no help, never again. GO ELSEWHERE.

I purchased two gas springs with the same force specification and stroke. When both are compressed at the same time then released at the same time one spring extends slower than the other. Neither spring has a noticeable leak. I suspect it is just a quality control issue for the cost of these springs. They will work for this one application. In the future I will shop elsewhere.
