I just ordered my third set - first ones for an 80 pound hinged skylight and now using on 30 pound garbage storage unit lids. The configurator takes the guesswork out of project and the hardware seems much higher quality than I found elsewhere. Only thing I wish is that the configurator let you enter numbers directly for C & D dimensions since moving the mouse is touchy (though of course within the margin of error of my measurements and installation). Will be coming back anytime I need gas springs.

Easy way to order the correct strut you need the first time. Just put in the original part number And the replacement pops up. Fast delivery. I hope I never need to order another one but if I do I know where I’m ordering from

I have been looking for gas springs online and trying to determine which ones I needed. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on how to measure in size for gas springs, and was very apprehensive to try to use anyone of the videos, they all seemed so complicated and I did not want to have to send anything back because I didn’t do the calculations correctly. The gas, spraying calculator on your website was so incredibly easy to use, and I felt very confident in it. I was correct in my feeling of confidence because I put in all the information required and ordered the springs. They came in quickly and I was able to install them using the online measurement page which told me exactly where to mount the springs on the cabinet in door in about 20 minutes. The springs work flawlessly. Would not hesitate to use gasspring.com again. Well worth the little bit more I spent on the springs to know that they were correctly sized and installed.

The custom build tool on the Gasspringshop.com website is great. I was able to fully customize a new spring, to near exact of the OEM spring that was busted. Very happy with the quality and time it took to have it at my doorstep. Would recommend to anyone in need of a gas spring.

The calculator is a good tool but I underestimated the weight of my hatch. I was able to reconfigure the pivot point and make it work. The struts are high quality and robust

I sent an email to Gasspringsshop.com asking for help in replacing a Stabilus gas spring. I couldn't find the part number anywhere online. Briana was able to find a replacement spring and the correct studs for it. I had the spring in a couple of days and it fit perfectly.

Overall, their website and products are fantastic with an easy to follow online process/calculation tool to determine the best gas springs, etc., for your needs. Although I'm a very experienced & capable DIY'er, i.e. I live in a 160-year old house, this was my first experience in installing gas springs. When it came time to "simply push the ball socket onto the stud" to make the connection complete, I did not have any indication up to that point that I had to untoggle and remove a 'safety pin' from the ball socket before trying to make that connection. I strongly recommend you update both your written instructions and your instructional video to indicate customers need to untoggle & remove the safety pin on the ball socket and then clip it back into place after the ball stud has been set into the socket.

Installed basement hatch door (lifts upward) yesterday with gas springs acquired a couple of months ago. Placed connection points exactly as Gasspringshop design tool defined. Everything worked as expected. A very quality product.

I purchased a gas spring for my 2018 Winnebago View built on a MB Sprinter chassis. It was to replace the original failed door spring that holds open the door. The piece from Gasspringshop was perfect in every way and simply clicked into the ball mounts on the door. The size selector is easy to use and resulted in a perfect fit. Thanks.

We could not find replacements for the gas springs for our wallbed, everything came back as unavailable. I inquired on Gassprings.com and had a response the next business day with a recommended replacement. We placed the order and they were shipped the next day. They arrived 6 days later by FedEx. Very pleased with the speedy response and shipping.

Shipment was prompt and gasspringsshop went to the trouble of assembling the specified spring ends before shipment. The hardware all looks well manufactured and handled. However, the springs were unusable due to being WAY out of specification (about 20% understrength at standard conditions). They came with a sticker stating "1350 N" on them, which was what was ordered, and the sticker also had the PO number on it, but there was no part number or unit serialization on the individual spring I could find, so I have no idea how they keep their inventory from getting mixed up. Apparently, the inventory did get mixed up, or they are manufacturing to order and there is a failure of Quality Control? The two pistons measured 1,130 N and 1,090 N at 2.5 cm compression at 20C. This is way too light for my application, for which I required the as-ordered 1350 N. I appreciate the degree of specification gasspringsshop.com offers, but it is an unfortunate waste of time if they cannot deliver the items as ordered. Also, I would have been happy to have tried to clear this up over the phone, but no phone number is available on the website. Email didn't receive a response within 24 hours, as advertised, so I am leaving this review, which I will be happy to update if that becomes relevant.

Overall it was good. However the shock I ordered will not work for my needs. Not Gasssprings fault, it was my mistake not realizing the correct size.

We used these to support lids on a very fancy Ipe Trash bin. we used the site to engineer and once installed they worked exactly as they were supposed to.

Very easy to configure my needed gas springs. Easy to buy. delivery was efficient. Easy to install. product performed admirably.
