I had had a bad experience with another gas spring supplier before, but using gasspringsshop online tool helped me find the right one, with visual instructions on how to install them too.

Tool was great to use took guess work out of bracket placement and guess work on spring needed.

Worked so well for my custom project, calculator blew my mind with how detailed and specific the measurements were and how amazing the end project turned out. Would definitely use this website again for future projects !

I needed to add gas springs to an 80 pound operable plexiglass skylight which provides access to a roof deck. Weighed it on one side then entered all my parameters into their calculator tool. It was great to be able to play with the measurements based on the constraints of my installation and desired assist level. Went ahead and placed my order and received it within a week. When I put it together I was impressed that the range of movement (90 degrees) and force required (20 pounds) to open/close the cap were extremely close to the tool's estimates. Cost me $300 altogether with building materials, whereas I was quoted $28k to replace with a sliding glass unit. Now my wife and son can operate it and I'm not worried about it closing with a giant crash.

Shopping and shipping were flawless, instructions were easy to follow, really excited to have a German-engineered part for my cellar trap door. Did I measure something wrong? I don’t know. Strut rod bent when first closing trap door. Snapped in half when i tried to bend it back. I am not a strong person. I put it into the trash.

The website assistance on selecting the product was very helpful. I received the product in a timely manner and it worked well. However, there was no communication as to when it was shipped and when I emailed an inquirery as to the order status, I never received a response.

Blown away by the combination of options provided for strut size, throw, force, and ends. This allowed me to find an exact fit for my application. The configuration tool that provides exact end-to-end measurements and force throughout the stroke was very helpful as well.

I had a self induced order issue and Briana was patient and took the extra effort to help resolve the issue.

The unit I ordered is not the same in the part that goes attach. I will try to adjust it.

The calculator was very accurate and helped me choose the right springs and placement. This is the only way to go with gas springs and takes out all the guess work!

new spring showed up and is not the same brand that I ordered a replacement for. it is slightly shorter than the one I am replacing and will not work due to this.
