Since I discovered this website, purchasing a gas spring has been wonderful, the configuration tools are great for determining the shock absorber you need. It should have a more expanded cross-reference database for the Stabilus shock absorbers. Super fast shipping, very satisfied, I just hope the gas springs last a long time.

Loads were too high for securing with wood screws. After a couple of cycles had a complete failure with brackets and hinges pulling out and one of the struts buckling. Was there any guidance on this? I am not sure.

Placed order, had email with acceptance of order then nothing about order. Had to search though account to find out what was happening. Most companies have systems set up to keep in informed what the situation is with your order through email. Once email is received good companies respond within the day not two or three days later. Most customers have projects on time lines that may be critical needing to adjust schedules. Communications is just professional and good business practice.

Your system is cumbersome and has potential for errors with a re-buy need. Your customer service is slow to respond to unique situations and it is difficult to get technical support to help standardize and define a unique item number for something that would be a re-buy product.

Their calculator to figure out what you need is awesome after that it's all downhill. If you live in rural area entering your delivery address is a Crap shoot. Their app wouldn't verify my address and you can't get around it. As soon as I created an account the next day my address was instantly verified. I figured it out before customer service got back to me on My order was incomplete, the phone number on the order was disconnected and the number on the packing list sent me to a recording that disconnected me. It took a day before customer service returned my email promising to correct it. It's going on two weeks and I still don't have my parts or any idea if they've been shipped or what have you

I had never done this before. The website walked me through all the design steps and decisions for load, open angle, attachment points. Let me choose which fasteners I needed at each end. Installed per website design. Works perfectly!!

The web sit is good but in needs improvement when mentioning the weight. it does not talk about dead or hinged weight. Also, there is NO mention about your return policy Anyware.that sucks big time. I had purchased two different size cylinders, and they are still incorrect and i cannot return one order because i have exceeded the two-week window that i was not aware of

Poor communication with customer service. I described my issue/concern and they responded back with a tracking number! It had nothing to do with what the issue at hand was!

So I love the concept it’s perfect for one off projects that you have but my problem was with the design software is a little confusing and when I got the spring I ordered in reality it was way longer than it needed to be which made mounting it a little more difficult, it all worked and functions as needed but could’ve been a little cleaner of an install. Quality of the parts is great! Just the software makes it a little confusing depending on your application, there is a couple of measurements that I could not change, but it only changed when I changed other features if that makes sense.

No communication no phone number to call a tech line and you never responded to my email. Both orders I made have issues

I was expecting “valving” or cushioning throughout the entire travel of the spring. There is only about 1” of hydraulic softening out of all of the travel. The calculator for the location of the points did not work for me either. Not impressed with the product or the service.

I needed a gas spring for a heavy lid boat refrigerator on my boat. This lid has fallen on peoples arms so I knew I had to change the bracket. I was unable to get anyone to calculate what spring was needed as I only needed one. Then I came across the gasspringsshop calculator. I had very specific locations & space it needed to mount to. With all of the variables the calculator offered it all worked out perfectly. Even adjusting for temperature.

4The gas spring in the Selden Rodkicker vang failed this past winter on our Bavaria 44. The Gas spring 14-28 Stroke 300 2500 Newton was in stock and arrived in a day and a half. It was a completely compatible replacement at a cost of $57. One seldom gets by with a boat repair at that low cost!

Ordered struts and turnaround was.less than a week! Awesome
