Great experience ordering - very fair on pricing and shipping. Did not receive any notice the product had shipped so sent a note to product support after ~6 days requesting tracking #. Product arrived the next day - along with response from support office. Received gas spring and installed - great looking product - however it is a bit weak. Have tried calling product support a couple times to inquire about increasing the load (force) and have not heard back. Request a call back when available. Thx!

I am currently waiting for the pressure release tool that Ian suggested, and that I have ordered to complete my installation. Also currently waiting for a response on 2 emails I sent in reference to the thread size and installation brackets so I can install. Thank you Don

Ordered replacement cylinders.

We have 4 outdated machines that use gas springs on all the doors. OEM parts were discontinued and 3rd party ones were overpriced. These ones fit great and work well, plus we were able to add a little bit more force so the doors don't fall on our heads.

everything was so easy. I wasn't sure if I would be able to figure what strut I needed for a project I was building, but the calculator made everything easy. The animation was an awesome help! Ordering was easy and the struts were shipped and delivered extremely fast.

While we have no issue with the products, there are times when we need them quickly and ask for next day air service. Having to email a request and then only getting back to us in a day or so to say, "we will ship it next day air when it's ready" really isn't customer service. That's just get to it when you can

Order shipped incomplete, only one strut received. Called customer service no one answered and was told to leave a message and did and never received a call back.

Found them in a online search, Looking for replacements for our lift transporters that only can find thru the manufacturer. They charge a enormous amount for their gas springs. Found Gas spring shop online and with their configuration search found we could replace the same item at a much lower cost. Their gas springs are just as good as the manufactures and just as easy to install.

I ordered 2 shocks and 4 eye bolts on April 2, 2025 and the product was on backorder until April 10th. On or about April 12, 2025 I contacted the company to locate my order and was told that the supplier had pushed the backorder date to April 30th. Finally on Friday May 9, 2025 I received the items and tried to use them and they did not work, not even close. So on Monday May 12, 2025 I filled out the return request for authorization and was immediately told that my return was outside the return window.....it had been 3 days and the return window is 8 days so I responded saying no that wasn't possible and I suggested they contact UPS to verify the package was not delivered until 5/9........crickets. I have not heard a word back. I have called the infamous Deborah and left numerous messages and even submitted the return request again and crickets..... this is terrible customer service when I wanted to return and buy the correct ones from Gasspringsshop but after this kind of customer service I will move on. They got me out of $117, don't let them get you too

Ordering was slick, shipping was prompt, and items were exactly as depicted in the description and schematics.

I'm a purchaser for a manufacturing co. we had to find a new source for 40+ metric size gas springs and this site was the only one with in stock. We ordered a small test first, they were of higher quality than we were ordering from our previous vendor and we received them quicker. We placed the order for the rest of them and received them quickly. The only reason for a half a star off is on our bulk order, some of the piston rods were black and some were silver. Ultimately, we are painting the entire product so it doesn't bother us for this build, however, if you're buying in bulk some visual variation may occur but the quality is top notch.

I was in need a shock for the baby changing stations in supermarkets. Had the brand, size, and all on the shock, but I couldn't locate it online. I contacted this company after perusing the net for long enough and they walked me through how the measurements work, the connections, and the resistance. Once they presented the page to me where you can choose specifics on the shock like length and what not......... my brain leaked out of my ear. So I e-mailed the guy back and he helped me understand it. Pulled the trigger on the shocks they recommended. When they arrived nothing looked the same except for the fact that they are shocks, but they fit perfectly. Job done and billed. The confusing website is why I deducted the 1/2 star. I would say the site is perfect for people that are familiar with the product. Not a first timer at all. This will be my supplier of shocks from now on though. Thank you Ian in Customer Support.

Wow I had a couple very small orders. This was after attempting to get my items from a few other places. These guys have a broad selection you can get exactly what you need.

Used the online spring simulator to determine the size and the placement of gas springs for my rear bench seat on my 1984 Grumman Pro Fish 16' that I recently restored. After replacing the old piano hinge and installing the springs, bench seat now lifts and closes as I hoped.

The calculator worked reasonably well. Some more examples of door pivot to spring pivots would better illustrate how these locations affect door and spring behavior. But otherwise it works quite well. Ordered items arrived in a timely manner.

I ordered what the configuration tool told me to order. I installed per the layout provided after receiving. What I was given is no where close to holding my lid open. At this point I am gonna have ro return as it is useless and a waste of almost $200

This gas spring works a real charm. In addition, the measurements provided helped me get it installed correctly. Sadly, I misunderstood what it would do. I needed resistance when closing more than opening. So, it works, but not in the way I needed.

No issues, easy to order and received quickly.

The configurator could use some refinement. I needed a ball end with a 30mm threaded stud; however, I received a ball end with a 30mm barrel and a much too short threaded stud.
