I needed gas springs for a chest I built. Their website had the right tools to help me find the right ones. The installation instructions were an inch off causing a second set of holes but they work perfectly.

I did as your instructions measurements for set up. The door won't close because the shocks bottom out. If I lower the shocks they won't open the door high enough.

Springs are well made. The support folks really helped with choosing the right spring. While they suggested custom, I found one that worked as a replacement.

In attempting to replace the lift spring for my 2007 C70 Volvo (stabilus lift-o-mat 082473 0050N) I ordered what the site claimed was a replacement. However the original tabs were flat and the new ones had a collar on them that prevented it from going all the way into the slot. I had to "re-engineer" it with a hacksaw to get it to fit. What's more, in order to return it, I would have had to pay shipping, spending 20 plus dollars to find out the part didn't fit. Thus the hacksaw method. So, yeah, not thrilled.

I can't use the gas springs that I bought from you. Although they are the correct size, they have too much Pressure. When I inquired about what would be the correct Pressure I was given a range to select from. I had no idea what pressure to select and I selected the highest pressure in the given range. I thought the photos of the data on my existing gas springs should have detailed the pressure required to raise and lower my airplane canopy. Evidently not. I had to remove your gas springs and put the old ones back on. They are old and won't hold the canopy open in cold temperatures which is a real problem getting in and out of the cockpit

This was my first experience with a gas spring installation. I spent an entire career as a Industrial Arts instructor and found the website simulator to be a great aid in designing mounts and selecting springs for my application. I encountered a problem upon installation and my question was IMMEDIATELY responded to by a company representative. Together, Joerg and I were able to solve the problem and I have an installation that works as it should.

The calculator was amazingly helpful. I had a complicated application, and ended up overestimating the force needed. They worked with me, to change the order before shipping, and to adjust the force after delivery. It worked out really well, and I'm super happy. Would buy again, and will be back.

Access and ordering looked easy BUT using the online order program isn't perfect. The parts I received are incorrect and will need to be returned.

Gas Springs Shop's website makes it convenient to specify the right gas spring for your application. Or to spec a more suitable spring for your purpose than the one you have. I needed more force for a small dump bed and the spring I received is just right. Hardware is good quality, packaged well, and pricing is reasonable too.

Found there website easy to navigate and was excited to see how easy it was to get these shocks on this vanity thing I built on our cargo/camper trailer.

After finding this company via a google search for shock manufacturers I started using the calculator and designer on the website and was very pleased with the descriptions and the options in this designer. When we received the shock that I ordered the quality was great and worked just as the calculator showed. All and all very good experience and will be using this company in the future.

Ordered a pair of SS gas springs for a heavy lid on a large box. It was very easy to work through the online selection and sizing process. I especially liked how the program visually showed you images of how the different spring sizes would look mounted. This is great to assure the springs would not be an obstruction in your particular need. Everything fit perfectly given their measurements and directions and works as planned.

This shock is what I was looking for, but no one had a strong enough shock. This shock was made well and the strongest I have seen.
