I used the online ordering form, took the measurements and ordered a spring to hold open the lid to a toy box. Unfortunately I over estimated the weight of the lid so the spring was too strong for my application. I contacted customer care and they allowed me to return the spring for a refund. The next time I need a gas spring for a home project I will contact Gasspingshop.com.

This is the second attempt to supply this review the first time after I had took the time to provide a detailed message it had a “ exception” and told me to contact the administrator. I don’t have time to play your stupid games.

Had a lot of difficulty contacting anyone using the phone numbers listed. Even though I was calling during the regular business hours, I would get ‘sorry we are not taking calls right now’ or a message close to that. After numerous attempts I was able to reach someone by calling right at the opening time. Finally I was given over to the customer care team and that person sent me the information via email to order the parts I needed. I was finally able to order the correct parts but it was after the cut off time for same day shipping. The parts should have shipped the next day, put there was no tracking information provided. After not receiving the parts in a reasonable amount of time I again had to play the phone game to try and contact someone at the company. I finally was able to get ahold of a very sweet lady who was able to help me. She could not give me an answer as to why my order had not shipped, but she was able to get her boss to to approve next day shipping. I expected better from a company here in the USA. Next time I will source the parts from Amazon and use Chinese made junk but I will get it in a timely manner. Very disappointed in your company!

I used the online calculator to determined what I needed. It only took a few minutes to figure out how to use the calculator, and then I was able to do multiple "what if's". All items shipped when promised, and my installation went well thanks to the measurements that the online calculator provided.

I ordered some gas springs, they were too long, my mistake. I ask if I could send them back and I was told as long as they were unused and still brand new. I put them right back in the box they came in and shipped them back (for $50 in shipping) almost a month later I get them back and an email saying the paint is chipped off and they can not accept them in return. They were in perfect condition, not a scratch or chip on them, when I packed the exactly how they were packed when shipped to me. So, they were either damaged by FEDEX when returned or after they were received back at Hahn West (gasspringsshop.com) I would advise to only do business with at your own peril.

I built a wooden storage box for all my swimming pool and boating equipment and the top was really heavy. I decided to go with stainless steel struts and the Gas Spring Shop was a one-stop-shop. Their customer service was superb because they walked me through the entire process while on the phone and actually looking at the interactive drawings. I wanted stainless steel struts because of the salt air near our house. I’m also wanted strong enough struts that raise the lid so it wasn’t a danger to any of the kids playing around the pool. They work like magic!!!

I was having trouble sourcing gas struts for my Triumph TR8 trunk lid. Gas springs had just what I needed when other companies did not. Shipping was quick and the price for the product was reasonable.

Received this request for a review but have yet to receive my order or even a shipping confirmation. UPDATED. My order arrived but I didn’t have any confirmation or tracking number. I have installed the strut and am very happy with it. I really like their customization page. Thanks GASSPRINGS.
