Used the calculator online and it turned out perfect!

Built a bar with a 130lb wall that opens out and up. Use the calculator online and ordered the parts it recommended. Install was easy and it worked perfectly! Actually better than expected. Thanks!

Excellent gas springs and great customer service

I ordered the wrong pair of springs for my machine because I was replacing springs that I didn't realize had been under-specified (50N!) for the application in the first place. After I ordered struts from them that were stronger (180 N), I was able to return the original pair to Gas Spring Shop for a full refund. I'm grateful for the service and courtesy and not having to discard a perfectly merchantable pair of struts.

Calculator is ok. Support responded but could be faster.

The springs the calculator recommended left my rv bed lid open. Had to install latches to keep it closed. Which isn't really a bad thing as normal travel would have the top bouncing, I imagine. Support recommended buying their $30 tool to release some gas. I really didn't want spend more money. And releasing too much pressure would leave the springs useless...e

Extremely well thought out for something so simple

I wanted a gas spring for a large RV side compartment door but just thought I would have to do trial and error to make one work. Until I found the Gas Spring Calculator on their website! There is a programmer out there that absolutely enjoys their job as this calculator was amazing to work with and eliminated all of the guesswork! Enter in all your measurements and the perfect setup is ready to add to your cart.

Fast service, excellent product!

Quality product delivered promptly. We had an issue where one of the springs we ordered using the on line tool to calculate strength wasn't strong enough. the spring was promptly exchanged for a suitable part. I am a happy customer!

Gas springs made easy

Selection process for springs was very straight forward. Their online calculator makes choosing the correct spring super easy. They shipped within a day of ordering and arrived shortly after. Product is well made. Installation instructions are fool proof and the setup works flawlessly. Will definitely come back when I need more gas springs.

EXCELLENT website experience

I haven't had the opportunity to install the struts yet, so I do not have a complete or final review, but the website experience was fantastic. Really good technical information. Easy to configure/change/optimize the set up. Gave enough technical information back to allow me to purchase with confidence, so I am confident that the product will function as intended. One of the best website experiences I have seen from anyone.

Mom existent customer service

I entered a request online for questions I had prior to ordering parts. After no no response in a week, I gave up and ordered the parts. Called customer service twice in the next week and left a message with questions and again received no response. Very frustrating!

Terrible customer service

Ordered springs for a box at may vacation home. Visited my vacation home a week or so after receiving the order. Called service on April 4th and they said to send an email. Sent an email April 6th and received a reply on Tuesday asking about the cover weight measurement method I used. Received no reply. On April 11th I called to return the product because support was unresponsive an provided no solutions. Received an email back almost immediately that I was outside the 8 day return window. This company it terrible, avoid them.

Calculator takes away the guesswork

The calculator was the difference maker in selecting the correct strut. I was able to quickly set up my situation, do the calculation and viola!, the strut and mounts were listed for my application. Delivery was quick and the items packed properly to protect the strut. The quality of the product seems great and all is well after installation. I’m very happy with the results.

Excellent digital animation on how to pick correct size

I built a crawl space door. I had no idea what springs to get. There is a digital animation where you put in the size and approximate weight of the door and it shows exactly what you need and where/how to install everything.
