I went through 4 different strut orders on Amazon and none of them were the right size. I finally found the Gas Springs Shop selector tool and the struts worked perfectly for my outdoor TV enclosure.

Always get what Im looking for. The only reason the 4.5 rating is that the web site is confusing when trying to size. Once you have navigated the website a couple of times it become easier.

The proscess was easy and went very well. Only had an issue with the threaded screws on the end of the shocks but was able to use the ones from the old ones. I didn't see an option for the threaded ends when ordering. Overall satisfaction was very good.

Limited experience to this point but so far all is well

I was given the wrong shocks, nobody ever answered the phone or the voice mail is full very frustrating.

good selection, stock, pricing and quick shipping. HOWEVER - the spring received was not the exact replacement that was listed. Overall the dimensions and force are the same , but the mounting flanges and holes are smaller and thinner. They also are not true Stabilus springs , but rather a "partner" owned by Stabilus. Not what I was lead to believe I was ordering.

My project (tiltable solar panel rack mounted on the side of a utility trailer) was pretty specialized so the calculator was the primary factor in deciding to go with this product. It is an awesome tool. But the underlying reasons for the relationship between the various measurements (A,B,C,D) is not intuitive, so required much experimentation with the configuration to get them within the required area. (Suggestions: I believe there is an error in the information balloon for "unused stroke". It says you cannot make the value less than 10mm - should be 10 inches. Also, it would be very helpful if "+" and "-" values could be assigned to the "C" value, as they are with the "B" values. When these values get small it is difficult to tell from the graph which side of the plane of the hinge they are located on.) The quality of the springs themselves is wonderful. I got the stainless steel ones and the fit and finish are first-class. Only complaint is that customer service interaction was somewhat cumbersome, with responses being limited to email, one question leading to another, etc. I read some reviews where apparently customers were able to call in, but no phone number is listed and I requested a phone call but never got one. I got to a good result but phone interaction would likely have saved considerable time.

I have ordered at least 10 times with Gasspringshop.com Service is fast - product is the best in my opinion, and the costs are good. I've gotten great personal service and advice as well. And really, they taught me how to become a good customer. Their online tools are spot on for designing both the size and force of the springs. It is so spot-on that we now really weigh everything to the ounce to be more precise on our end.

The support they have on selection of shocks is phenomenal no one else offers that type of support in selecting the correct shock for the right application if you don't already know what you need. The prices are very very steep but like I said the support makes up for it.

At first I was satisfied. But then part if my order arrived. I tried to call. No answer. I sent an email to inquire about the balance of my order and so far no response. I am disappointed. I am giving a YES only because I have to answer the question. At this moment, I do not know if I will recommend you.

That tool was the differentiator. Being able to mock-up my application allowed me to figure out exactly what I needed.

Still haven't received my order.

I have only recently installed my struts but the seem of good quality, however I am concerned about the 5mm rod not handling repeated stress. The website was hard to navigate and there wasn't an option to order one with a soft open damper. During installation I damaged one of the wire safety retainers for the ball joint and was disappointed to find you had to order a whole new ball joint elbow with $11.00 shipping to replace it. I believe there are better designs and better options out there but I was hasty in my internet search.

After a long search, I found this site. I wish I found this first it would have saved a lot of time. The gas spring ordered was perfect, arrived quickly, and at great cost savings. I will use them again when needed and will recommend them. I don't take this lightly.

Easy search. Fixed my truck box lid. I increased the lift pressure and it raises much easier.
