I needed gas springs for a 75# trap door. The site guides you through proper spring selection and installation and I’m extremely pleased with the final product. Problems: They didn’t have anyone answering the phone when I called and I wasn’t able to get timely assistance. Their instructions are somewhat confusing, in part from the awkward language used (German to English translation?).They would be well served to rewrite them. Providing an installation video could be very helpful as well.

The visual aids and insight to help select the correct product for my application could not have been better. A very easy ordering process and even easier installation with the Installation Instructions they provided. Would highly recommend and will reuse in the future.

Struts were the correct size for opening my hatch door. Closing is more difficult. The locations shown on the installation guide did not allow the hatch to completely close from the open angle that I needed. I was able to readjust the locations to make the door close, but was not able to maintain the open angle that I wanted.

Received what I ordered in a few days. Kind of missed getting followups regarding shipping information after the initial order confirmation, something I'm used to these days. Time will tell what the quality is, but made in Germany instead of China makes me hopeful.

The "build your own" tool is a time saving wonder ! It eliminates any guess work.

I eyeballed what I thought I would need for gas struts for my project and failed miserabley. I found the simulator on gasspringshop.com and was a little hesitant with the suggestion that it made (tiny struts compared to what I thought I needed with with opening a 130lb lid). I gave it a shot and ordered the recommend gas springs and WOW. They worked PERFECT. The 130lb lid can now be opened and closed with just a few fingers. The mounting instruction made the installation process simple. I would absolutely order again if I am ever in need of gas springs again!

They sent me the part quickly and the new gas spring is nicer than the one that it replaced. Very happy with the purchase and I’m very happy to have a place right now I can go and get future replacements directly.

I was impressed by the online tool and the option to choose mounting hardware. The strut and hardware worked perfectly for the heavy application.

I was looking for a particular gas spring. This company actually had a person who answered the phone and told me exactly what I needed to do to get a replacement. Then within a few days, they gave me a recommendation on what to order and how to order. Two days later I had my part. Customer friendly, quick ship and helpful. It doesn’t get any better!

The order was not shipped complete. After contacting the company they sent me the remaining items overnight. That type of service is hard to find today. Great service, good product. Will use them for all my gas spring needs.

No packing slips, therefore orders cannot be verified. Incorrect items shipped several times.

I have a heavy sloped roof over a low swimming pool pump shed, on hinges, so I can open it to service the filter and equipment. Using the gasspringshop's gas spring calculator, and making careful measurements, I ordered the springs and hardware. I installed everything and it works fantastically! It was the best DIY project I've ever completed.

Never buying anything again from them. They sent me the wrong part. Horrible customer service. They ignored my calls and had an attitude when they did answer.

Good product, tools were online to help me adjust and calculate just the gas strut I needed for under-bed storage in our RV. The process of measurement was easier than I thought it would be as was in my installation of the brackets. Everything works and the spouse is now very happy not to have the weight to lift the bed for the storage access!

I used the calculator to build my kit for a large 66lb boat hatch. The calculator removed the hesitation I had in terms of getting the correct setup. I installed them and sure enough they do exactly as needed!
