I’m not a “computer” person so I had a hard time figuring out how to use the online calculator. However the support staff was patient and walked me through it. When it turned out I had gotten the wrong gas spring they were helpful in figuring out what went wrong. At the end I had to return it and the billing staff was very helpful in getting me my refund. I highly recommend them with no reservations.

Perfect replacement at a fair price

I have ordered gas shocks multiple times from Gasspringsshop. The configurator tool makes it so simple to size and order the gas springs.

I placed an order on the website for Items that showed in stock. At checkout the site said that this order should ship with in 5-7 business days. Yet, 1.5 months later I am still waiting for my order. Have contacted them several times and keep getting different answers as to why my order still has not shipped. As of today, they are telling me it could be another 1-3 weeks for it to ship.

The calculator was SUPER useful, I managed to put two different calculations together for gas springs in two different locations. I've had a rigged trap door into my root cellar for years, but after adding trex decking it became insanely heavy. I wish I had found this site years ago when I first put in the door and rigged some gas struts, it would have saved me so much time! Gas springs and attachments seem super high quality and well built.

After my order did not arrive for several weeks I had to ask them twice until they responded and corrected that circumstance. Unfortunately they were sending an M8 part while I ordered a M10 part. This is of no use for me. I asked them twice about that again but I did not get another response since. Can't recommenend. == Edit == After leaving this review the seller reached out and rectified the issue. I now have the correct item. Hopefully this was a one-time glitch.

I was bowled over when the item I ordered arrived in two days, even though the web site indicated "out of stock".

We ordered the incorrect shocks from you, reorder the correct one, but went thru your return process to return the incorrect one back and have not heard from you guys so I can return them back and get credit for them.

The equipment company cost for this gas shock was $220. The gas spring shop had an exact replacement, same manufacturer and part number but the cost was only $58. Shock works perfectly.

I ordered 4 springs per the configuration tool. They arrived on tile but did not support door opening per the input parameters. Per multiple emails I received an RMA to regas springs. Several weeks have passed. No updates, no email responses, no return phone calls. Where are my springs?

This was my first experience with gas springs. And, I was concerned with getting them attached properly. Then I found Gas Spring Shop. I was able to input all of my variables on its website and get the products I needed along with near perfect (“near” because nothing is ever really perfect) installation instructions. I carefully followed the instructions and measurements. After one very minor adjustment to one side, the lid closed and opened just like I wanted. I highly, highly recommend the Gas Spring Shop.

Paid for 2 day delivery but arrived in 3. Returned one spring for recharge and this took more than a week before return to me.

My order was done very quickly, and was happy knowing I could purchase custom gas springs. I actually over estimated the pressure required, but with the ability to bleed off pressure, I was able to get the pressure where I needed. Will always keep your company in mind for all future custom gas spring needs!

I agree with all of the reviews about Gas Springs Shops terrible customer service. Ordered a slightly incorrect spring the first time (easy to do) and have not been able to return it even though I've followed all, of the return instructions. My return package was returned as "unclaimed" and I have not been able to speak with a person since. Think twice and look for somewhere else to buy these products.

The company is not replying to request for returns. I filled out form for RMA # via the site. I've emailed [email protected] and I've left voicemail at 704 8103462. It's been 5 days and no reply. Website has a time frame of 8 days from receipt of item to request return and states they will respond within 48 hours. The only positive comments I have are that the spring looks like very good quality. It is much more expensive than other springs, and you get what you pay for.... It arrived fairly quickly. My only qualm is that customer service is non-existent and one may be out of luck if for some reason the spring will not work for your project and wish a refund.

I tried several times to reach out by phone, leaving messages that were never returned. I ended up just going ahead and purchasing since they have a return policy. I finally got someone to respond, but could not get them to answer my questions about their hardware or installation. They seem like quality products, unfortunately if you don’t know exactly what you are doing with them, you are out of luck. I still have not been able to install them because I’m trying to figure it out on my own.

Bought a 20 year old boat and every gas lift on the boat was faulty. Was having trouble finding replacements as the previous manufacturer was out of business. I simply gave them the old manufacturers part number and they matched to exactly. If only everything was that easy. Thank you.

Héctor responded to my email question and helped me decide which springs would fit for my needs - which was extremely useful as I have never bought gas struts before and was unsure on a lot of the metrics.
