I had bought two struts from another company a few months ago before doing thorough research. I'm glad I never installed that first set because the set I received from Gasspringshop were of much higher quality and made from better material. Their website was the most useful, too, wanting more answers/measurements than the competitors. Then, the struts arrived in only a couple of days. I installed them the same day I got them and they worked perfectly! I 78 lb lid now opens effortlessly and stays open until pulled back down. Thank you for great service, great instructions, and a great product. I'll definitely only buy struts from you guys going forward.

I was searching for gas struts for the cover of a generator shed I had built. After a not too much of research it was evident that there is a fair amount of science involved in selecting and fitting struts. Your website - with it's calculator function seemed the ideal solution. You struts are more expensive than a lot of other choices on the web - but I felt that the information provided on the design calculator was worth the extra investment. Your website says most orders ship within 1 business day. I called you customer service after 3 days to find out the status of my order (no proactive notification). I was that the order has shipped - and here is the tracking number. After checking the tracking number I found that the label had been issued, but pkg was not in FedEx's hands for another day - e.g. it had NOT been shipped. When the struts did arrive I mounted in the locations prescribed by your calculator web application. It did not work at all in these positions. The lid/cover that was supposed to open 35 degrees was open about 80 degrees & would not close all the way. After a series of trial & error fittings I now have it working. But I could have had that result with a lot of cheaper choices. I feel that customer service was lacking and the technical solution was lacking.

Their platform for ordering was simple and easy to use. Their guide to the various and sundry springs/hinges they produce made it easy for my contractor to pick the right one. Return policy was straight forward. Finally, their communications were great. Questions were emailed in morning and answers were received by lunchtime the same day. All in all many companies can take a lesson from this company in dealing with consumers.

Your website and support are excellent, made it very easy to work out a solution to my application. One issue I had - for the two gas springs I ordered/received, the holes on the mounting ends were different sizes from one spring to the other. One spring had correct holes, one spring had larger holes. I was still able to make everything work, but this seemed like an error on the shipment.

I like that the ends screw on so you can select what you need from the configurator. Good price- about the same as competitors but the cylinders and rods are larger and more solid than the competition

When we ordered this part, we were unsure if it would fit and work because it was not from the manufacturer. However, the photos, dimensions, schematics and very clear description of any differences between the original part and the replacement part was so clear and understandable, we knew exactly what we had to do to adapt the part to work. And the replacement part seems to be of better quality because the differences were in an effort to beef up the part!

calculating spring parameters was made super easy by the calculator and the diagram with distances for mounting made installing the springs perfect the first time.

Design calculator was straightforward and if you inputs are accurate, it is too. Parts delivery was quick and partsvv CB performed as the calculator predicted.

Ordered gas springs for a pump house project. I found the quality of the units to be very good. Included hardware was well made and fit very well. I used the on line sizing and installation tool. The results were spot on for selecting the units needed and the recommended installation dimensions worked perfectly.

The gas pistons we ordered arrived quickly and included everything we needed to do the installation. We will definitely use you again in the future when we need gas pistons for any reason.

I gave them the specs for the springs I wanted to replace and the ones they recommended and I purchase fit perfectly.

I followed the calculator and it works perfectly. They are so strong and accurate I actually had to reinforce my hinges and door because I didn't build it strong enough. Great service and product will use again.
