I was able to customize a gas spring for a 36 year old Lamborghini that they only made 400 of in the first place. The repalcement not only fits perfect, but is quite probably better than the original, and for sure looks better. How can anyone ask for more?

I had a complex application opening a gull wing door on an airplane. I was able to design the correct gas spring using the on line software. When I specified the gas pressure too low the company gladly added more pressure to the gas spring and now the doors work perfectly.

Easy to order, good service, good product

The service was friendly when I called the first two times but the third time they did not answer the phone on a weekday and did not return TWO messages so I had to turn to Amazon for a few small inexpensive parts. The calculator does not take the SHAPE of the door into consideration when it make a parts list and I got wrong parts for one end of the shocks and no one to help me get the correct parts so it's turning into taking almost two weeks to get this simple project done. It needs to have ball joints at BOTH ends just like just about all camper shells have . . . I would have given 5 stars if not for all this frustration.

I found the company by searching for a calculator to help me figure out exactly what I needed for assisting my girlfriend and I in lifting the top of the new bed I built in our camper van. I followed their recommendations and placed my order. I received a confirmation email for the order. Less than 24 hours later I called customer service to find out when they expected to ship given the delays with Covid. Not only did a REAL person pick up the phone but they were extremely pleasant and helpful. To top it off, they had already shipped my order! You just can't do much better than that! Although I've seen gas shocks cheaper on Amazon, these shocks arrived very well packaged and protected, and appear to be very good quality. The hardware was definitely top notch. They arrived so quickly I haven't got the bed quite ready for installation but I anticipate these things will do the trick and judging by my experience with them so far, if they don't work I have no doubt they will be more than glad to help me fine tune my install. I would highly recommend them to anyone trying to figure out the what's and how's for their own needs.

I liked the on line calculator. It's very user friendly and gives a great amount of explanation on figuring the correct gas strut for my application. It was the only site I found that had a means of helping me with the selection. Shipping was quick....4 days from placing my order to sitting on my front step. I would absolutely use Gasspring Shop again.

Spring and hardware are robust. Hopefully the spring lasts a long time! The calculator to aid in spring choice was very helpful. I upsized my spring for the hatch I built and am glad I did. The smaller recommended spring would have likely worked just fine, but I feel the upsized spring fit the project better.

Easy online system to lookup parts. Delivered in well packaged box. Item as expected and of good quality.

I was able to find what in needed (almost). The gas spring on one of my New Age Wall Cabinets failed, and would not hold of the door, that swings up. Although they advertise limited lifetime warranty, they had discontinued that style of cabinet, only 3 years old, and do not have any parts to support it. I found the right size gas spring at gasspringshop.com, but the only difference was it came with M5 threads, and the one I needed has M6. Since I cannot find one with M6 threads, I will use it, and use some aluminum foil to allow the angled ends to attach. Not an easy job trying to determine the Newton force, but my educated guess worked well. When you use the Configurator on the website, you can put in all the info needed, but when done, it does not tell you what newton force to select. I called and spoke to a very nice person, but still didn't know for sure. I would recommend them, but ask them to see if they can create a gas spring that has the M6 threads. I have 5 more on my cabinets that probably will fail, as well.

Worked with Jorg and he listened to what I needed and sent me a spring/shock and it works fine although a little strong.
