Excellent online calculator and quick delivery of a very high quality product.

I didn't know that replacing gas springs could be so easy. Just enter your P/N and you get pricing, rotating photos, and CAD drawings. If your gas spring is out of production, you can configure one that fits your application ( I did!) I'll never tolerate a faulty gas spring again.

I was having trouble determining what springs I should use for the hatch door on a camper I'm building. The company was more than willing to help me with everything. I was floored when I e-mailed them on Saturday and got a response Sunday morning!!! I wasn't expecting to hear from them until Monday. They even called me and walked me through getting the weight measurements and everything I needed to get the proper gas springs. I would definitely recommend this company for all your gas strut needs! Someone at Gasspringshop.com entered my shipping address incorrectly when they labeled it for the shipper. As a result, the shipment was delayed as the shipping address was incorrect. The installation directions were clear and the gas spring is working well so far.

After many failures trying to find a solution for my poolhouse window, I found Gasspringshop online and used their awesome tool to figure out the correct solution. Well, I messed up one of the steps and the first shipment did not work. I talked with Joerg and we figured out my error. I shipped the arms back and they changed the pressure at no charge and replaced some hardware for me as well. It looks and works great now! Great team!

I put gas-filled springs on our chicken coop. My wife had acquired a chicken coop from a friend, but it wasn't going to fit where she wanted it, After remodeling it, it now fit in the location, but I made the roof tilt up with a hinge and i knew she wasn't going to be able to lift it easily or safely. (It weighs 66 pounds.) I thought about using gas-filled shocks/springs but had no experience with them other than the ones on the hatch door of my van. When I came across the the gasspringsshop.com website and the online calcuator, I plugged in all of the specs and it gave me a recommendation. When the parts arrived, I installed them, and then came the moment of truth. The lid worked exactly as I had hoped it would. Now we can lift the lid with about 25% of effort needed for the un-assisted lid and it stays open and closes easily.

What you put up is so far superior to what else is out there that it is difficult to quibble. In the interest of your continued development: The option to side mount the hinge is missing...or that of placing a single hinge anywhere but center. I know you are concerned about excessive weight on the hinge, but my customer service person approved the placement, so perhaps you can have a warning and/or algorithmic override. Also, my very responsive and courteous customer service person could use a bit of English language training, because precision in language is key in what you are offering, and I found it often difficult to understand his (I think..his) emailed instructions, despite his goo will. everything was great

I had tried for past several years to obtain information on the gas struts and installation without any success. FINALLY I found gasspringsshop and it was exactly what I needed. The diagrams, measurement guidelines and simple translation to what I needed to order was WONDERFUL. I installed according to the measurements and it now works. I do have an issue with the lid staying open but that is on me for not getting an accurate weight measurement to place in the calculations. I have reordered new struts with more force and look forward to installing. THANK YOU for being there !!!!

Love your spring calculator is great. My only issue of why your springs are so expensive? Compared against other competitors you seem to be about twice as expensive. Almost didn’t buy. Why the expensive cost

The spring ordered arrived promptly, but it is not installed yet & this is about the 4th review request I have received. AND the only time I will review!

I had an old basement door with heavy lid that was hard to open and to prop up. The GasSpringShop website made it easy to calculate the right size strut and the struts went in quite easily (it did take a little readjusting of where the fixtures went). My only reservations: 1. The plastic bag containing the fixtures and washers was torn, so two little clips were floating loose in the big cardboard box. They could have been lost and I'd have had to go to the hardware store. 2. No installation instructions were included with the springs, which was something of a surprise and made me take extra time to figure out how to position the fixtures. Bottom line: they're installed and they make lifting the door a breeze.
