I had reached out to multiple companies trying to find answers with little to no reply. It did not take long after contacting gas springs for somebody to get back to me. Also was responsive Along with a FaceTime call to really help out with all my questions. I confidently write this review without receiving my gas struts yet. My application was a difficult one I know if there’s any issues that the customer service is there. As a business owner myself I hold a lot of importance on doing what you say you’re going to do.

They had the part I needed at a great price and always responded quickly when I made an inquiry.

From start to finish, from design stage to installation stage, everything felt intuitive and very professional. By following the schematics from the website's calculator, I successfully retrofitted an old 200lb, insulated trap door that covers our wellhouse. Tolerances were pretty tight, the door was monstrous, and I was surprised by how amazingly smooth the action was on the gas piston... I can lift the door now with a pinky finger!

I am amazed at how easy it was to use their website and project calculator tool to order the right gas springs. The calculator also outputs a detailed schematic, showing placement of mounting hardware with dimensions of your project. The final assembly on site went smoothly and works just as the calculator showed it would.

I have never worked with gas springs. I work with wood. In this case there was a need to incorporate gas springs. I found Gasspringsshop.com and used their calculator to determine what I needed. The calculator is very useful especially for those that don’t know what they need. I did reach out to customer service and was amazed at how fast their response was and how helpful they were. Shipping was very fast and product is very high quality. Installed on our project and they work perfectly.

I ordered a set of springs for a project and apparently, I miscalculated the weight or something, because they wouldn't hold the hatch open. I found this out on a Saturday. I emailed the company and didn't expect a response until Monday. Much to my surprise, I had a response the next day, ON SUNDAY! That is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The person who emailed me, even emailed me back a second time on Sunday to offer some advice, let me know that i can return the incorrect springs, and that he would give me a call the following day. Needless to say, I am impressed! If you need gas springs, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company! Thank you for unprecedented customer service!!!

Your website design was incredible. Helping a novice like me to order the correct spring + informing me of the proper mounting hardware! Kudos to your engineers & web developers. I had already spent more with a competitor via Amazon and the springs were way under-powered for my application. Finally, the nice woman that answered your phone was kind enough to help me through one final question. Note - the two angles that are to be entered were a bit confusing until she informed me that they were "degrees from horizontal." I first though they were degrees of orientation of the spring. Perhaps a little parenthetical or help pop-up would be helpful there. Anyway, the entire experience was great....website, cust. service and pricing!

I found the design guide totally fascinating. It took the mystery and uncertainty out of the strut selection and installation process. My use was to add struts to a hatch on my boat that was particularly inconvenient to use. The design guide allowed me to play with various factors until I understood exactly how a chosen strut would react once installed. The hatch now performs exactly as I had wanted.

I needed a solution for a vertical up-swing door for my CNC enclosure (38" tall, 48" wide, 16 lbs, made of wood and plexiglass). No other company I found had the tools to complete a visual simulation of my scenario, and a couple well-known retailers simply admitted their gas springs were not up to the task. I used the online calculator, placed my order, and it was delivered 3 days later. I printed out the instructions, which were specific to my setup, including critically helpful measurements, and assembled it all the next day. After assembly I crossed my fingers as I closed the door for the first time. Perfect amount of resistance at the beginning (top/fully open) to get the closing started, less resistance in the middle, and then with about 10 inches of travel left in the closing, the springs gently pull the door the rest of the way closed and hold it tight against the frame. Finally, the reopening happens unassisted once the door is pulled about 10 inches out, it travels upwards quickly but not unsafely, then it slows down the last 10 inches or so to gently come to a resting position — Exactly how the simulation showed it would. My father, a former farmer, retired electrician, and current woodworker, is my go-to mechanical consultant. He's had mixed results trying to choose and install "budget" gas struts for his needs, and he "helped" me with the install (he basically did it). After seeing the first close/open after the installation, he turned to me and said, "I need you to send me a link to this company." High praise.

The website was very helpful for calculating the gas spring that was needed. However the product arrived without printed instructions. Your customer service from Joerg was excellent in answering questions for installation. I was able to attach the spring to my basement bulkhead door and it works beautifully.

Not your typical customer. I have a Murphy that uses gas springs and replacement parts were hard to find let along match. The excellent help provided me with a recommendation that perfectly fit my situation. There is not a lot of help for Murphy beds when you have an issue with lifting.
