Customer service

I’ve purchased two sets of springs for a deck hatch. Had questions and called customer service over 10 times. Left numerous emails for a callback. Did receive replies by email, but could never speak to someone personally. Terrible response, wish there were somewhere else to buy these.

Very cool service, but way too slow

Figuring out exactly what gas spring struts I need for any given project is typically an exercise of trial and error. This website however takes the trial and error away, which is very cool. The problem is they take way too long to ship the product. In the end, I did the trial and error at a local auto parts store and by the time my order came, I Had already solved my problem and simply had to send it back.

Great item with a perfect fit.

No Customer Service

Website confusing. Gave representative measurements and pictures of door receiving springs. Received 2 very small springs with no mounting hardware or instructions. Contacted regarding this and did receive hardware. Went to install springs. Too small. Now I have 1 broken spring and that is too small. Have contacted representative. Order #WS32841US

Good products, nonexistant customer service

Products seem good, but we have several questions about how to fit to our needs.... have left several messages on phone line (always get answering machine), and not received any calls back.

Good quality but late, took too long, and communication was poor.

Ordered two struts plus and quality is quite good. But was out of stock when ordered and was delayed beyond that date. Communication was poor. Did not notify me when it was delayed further and did not notify me when it was finally shipped -- it just showed up on my doorstep.

My cabinets are finally fixed!

The gas springs fit my Varde IKEA kitchen cabinets, and they finally work again and I'm so happy! They have been broken for a long time and IKEA could not help us since the cabinets were discontinued and no parts were available. It was a pain having to hold up the door with one hand and then taking the dishes out with the other hand. Thank you for having the parts to finally fix our problem cabinets.

good source for gas springs

Unbeknown to me the spring was out of stock. It took some time until I was notified that my order was received but delivery would be delayed by several weeks. I have a feeling this is a one man operation. Response to my email was slow. I guess blame it on covid.

Poor customer service

The struts I got were to week. I just want to exchange them for stronger ones. Customer service never picks up the phone or returns phone calls. They only respond my email. I was told I can not return them because you only have 8 days to do it in. After many email exchanges I was told I could have them recharged free. But I was not given anymore info on how they wanted them returned. Then no more responses to emails I sent. So I mail them back to the return address. Tracking says they got delivered but they tell me they don’t have them. In the emails they ask the same questions over and over and I’m getting no where. So in short they took my money and have the struts too I was just asked if I was willing to modify my above rating. So I’m making it worse. After talking to the local post office with spoke with the mail carrier that says he left on the desk. So I tend to believe the post office over gassprings.com. Base on other complaints of lost packages stated here and the terrible customer service I’ve received through my experience with this company. I have since order and install struts for a different company. Much better service. If they feel the postal carrier is lying they can take it up with him. If it was stolen they can make a police report. At this point I feel they lost it. Do I end up out of the money and the product. I’m just glad to be done with them and will never order from them again and will add my experience to my blog. .

The only brand that worked correctly

There are lots of Youtube guidelines that design gas strut applications, but this one is a little better. I tried two other brands (found on Amazon) and neither worked correctly. If you're replacing struts on a car, where the design has already been done, and all you have to do is replace worn out struts, low budget replacements might be OK. But, if your doing an application from scratch, consider these first.

Very poor customer service

My order thur fed ex was lost. No replacement was issued. Customer service representative are very very hard to call. No messages returned. Got my money back after 5 week of waiting going back and forth with them .

No communication and l missing items

Good experience

Ordered one gas spring and it fit perfect, real well built. I live in AK and although it got here quick I wasn’t pleased with price of shipping, box could have been smaller which in turn would have been cheaper, I splurged.

First time purchase and it went very well

When ordering I could not change where the hinges are located. On a 4' ×8' door makes a big difference, so we had to release alot of pressure, with the info sent by email made that pretty simple and seems to be working the way I expected.
