I used the sites calculator to configure what parts to order, and with an adjustment of ~1 inch on the placement of the bottom ball anchor compared to the my calculator's placement, they work very well. I was surprised to receive absolutely no instruction for assembly with the parts. I was unable to contact their service department on a week day at 3PM their time when I had a question as to how to remove and replace the retaining ring while attaching the strut to the ball.

I had been looking for years for someone to help me buy gas springs for a heavy hatch leading to my crawl space with no luck. Then I wondered into your web site. All I can say is WOW!! I found this company’s website as I was looking for replacement gas shocks for an Italian brand. Very easy to configure exactly what I needed. Although they were a bit pricey, the customer service was excellent (responded to my email within a day Even though it was a weekend and followed up with a second email on the next business day). Shipment came within a week. Fit perfectly!

These springs are probably usable for holding up doors but if even slightly consistent force is required. they are a problem. Some 50 newton springs I obtained have forces of 60-90 newtons and have high static release forces.

Almost EVERY critical dimension listed (length of cylinder, stroke, etc.) was wrong. I had to ignore all the dimensions, and just measure things when they arrived. VERY frustrating from an engineering standpoint. I’m not sure if these incorrect dimensions were on purpose to avoid over/under extension of the springs, but it should at least be mentioned on the diagrams.

I was very pleased with the quality, fit and finish of the gas struts that I purchased. They're made with, apparently, with very high standards and attention to detail. The struts I purchased were very robust and fit my application as described. I loved the calculator tools. Although it was a little confusing as to which mounting bracket I needed, I was given great help. The springs look like they are very adequate to do the job although I have not installed them yet.

We need gas springs for a large deck box we use to store our patio furniture cushions. The design tool provided on the website was easy to use and provided a detailed design drawing when completed. I have an 97"x 39" oak plan table top. I wanted to put it on hinges to access underneath for a storage area. After installing the hinges it became apparent that the weight of the 3/4" oak top made access difficult and impractical. Went on gasspingshop.com web site filled in the particulars for my unusual application. I down loaded the installation dimensions and waited for my springs to arrive. I installed two out of the three springs and checked function and was a bit disappointed momentarily...….but when I installed the last spring my plan table top opens and closes with little effort at all. Now I am able to utilize what was previously wasted space. I could not be any happier with the service to calculate for the right springs and the final product.
