I want to thank you for your review on Kiyoh. Very annoying that you had to pay customs costs where you did not expect them. Usually the customs costs replace the local VAT costs that you did not have to pay and it would have been nice if you could have kept this advantage for yourself.
On our site there is a warning in several places that customs costs are for the account of the customer, however, you are right when you say that this is not reported during check out. We have chosen this because each country has different rules. In Canada there is indeed a good chance that customs will charge you, although this is not always the case.
I am glad to hear that your package was delivered correctly and, above all, quickly and hopefully this has taken away some of your disappointment.
