Bought a BMW R1200RT headlight from an unknown supplier overseas
I had a great experience. Read on... I needed a backup headlight for my BMW 2014 R1200RT. The headlight lens had a hole punched in it that I stitched together with fishing line and bonded with superglue. It had been that way for four years and I knew my repair would not last forever. I looked for a replacement lens at BMW dealers in the USA (BMW part number 63 12 8 541 628) and I was quoted a horrendous US $1,632 plus tax. I looked on eBay and found some used headlights in the USA but they showed the front lens to be scuffed or on another occassion, with a broken mounting bracket. I thought about going to a BMW breaker yard direct but I was nervous when I realized some were overseas because I was concerned about ease of returns and so on... I eventually found the right part at Motorparts Online for a price of Euros 569.60 (US$620), including shipping by UPS. I swallowed my hesitation and placed the order online on March 23. I immediately got an order acknowledgement by email. I sent an email asking for assurance that it would fit my bike and that the part is in good condition. On March 27 I got an email reply from someone called Quinty with those assurances. The lens arrived on March 29. It was very well packed, surrounded by air bags, bubble wrap and other impact absorbing packing. On inspecting the headlight assembly, the front lens portion - the part I was mainly interested in - was immaculate, as-new. The back of the headlight where it mounts had a few scuffs and scrathes but no more than would be expected in removing the part from the bike and certainly nothing to affect fitment or functionality. I am super-impressed with Motorparts Online and I'll be sharing my positive experience witthe multiple BMW forums I use over here. This is a great example of how customer service should be. I hope my review helps you get more business. You deserve it.
