Growing is almost as much fun as consuming
Seeds are delivered quickly and discreetly. This is my sixth year of growing and my second purchase from ILGM. I’ve also purchased from a competitor in interim years for my small annual grow. This year I bought 10 seeds of two varieties of auto flowers to supplement the two of eight that sprouted from last years seeds (different seller). Put 6 in water for 24 hours and between wet paper towels for another day. Three seeds germinated and I got 3 sprouted. One seed never broke open and two broke open in the water but did not develop tap roots. I’ll hope for the best next year. I now have 5 auto’s growing.
Guarantee of germination is laughable by any seller. I switched sellers a couple years back because ILGM did not replace any of the non germinated seeds I experienced (30 seeds of 3 varieties bought, 6 in water, 2 germinated and grew nicely, the other 4 and literally 16 replacements never germinated). I exchanged several emails and never got a satisfactory or even sympathetic response. Maybe the rainwater I was putting the seeds in was not wet enough. I successfully grew two more the following year for a total of 4 harvested plants from 30 seeds.
I don’t know if I am an outlier brown thumb but over the last 6 years of growing what I consume I’ve experienced slightly less than half the seeds in water developed into harvestable plants. All grown outside in bright Texas summer sun. Last year 3 auto’s and 2 photo periods.
