Candyshop scams customers
This online shop scams. Avoid this scammer shop at all cost.
I ordered chocolates on 24th April with free shipping. On the next day there was no update. I called their several times but their contact phone number never worked. I had to cancel the deal on 25th close to 5pm.
The store initially in their first reply did not express any problem with cancellation, but hours later in the night they told me the item was shipped.
I then told them I had to reject the order and then they did not reply until around 10 hours later rejection at door. The shop suddenly claims they will take my money for "return cost" of 9.95 euros.
It is a scam. PostNL told me there is no additional cost for sending things back with a rejection.
Moreover, on Candyspot website, the usual shipping cost is 5.95 euros. So I do not understand how a return with rejection will be 9.95.
Postnl also told me they dropped the item at 8:19pm, which is much later after the store owner knew I cancelled the order. At least they ignore consumers' requests.
If the shop cannot answer the phone and cannot provide information within a reasonable time about potential cost, then the business itself is to blame. Trying to scam consumers for a high shipping cost which does not exist, and without telling consumer relevant information is solid a violation of Dutch law and EU law.
Avoid this scammer shop at all cost. It is one of the worst business I encounter in the Netherlands.
