With those batteries, the date that you see on them is the fabrication date, but the battery are good for circa 4 years from the installation date. Therefore, if the date on the batteries is 2023, this means that they were indeed fabricated in 2023, but the expiry period is to be calculated from the moment that you insert the battery in the device.
