Decent store with good-quality products, but the customer service is absolutely terrible. I placed an order for delivery to the US because the item I wanted wasn’t available there. Instead of sending what I ordered, the store shipped me a completely different product. When I contacted customer support, the representative was polite, but kept insisting that I had received the correct item. That was absurd - I even sent them clear photos of what I actually received. To make matters worse, I had already paid for the product and the import duties on an item I never wanted in the first place. The store refused to issue a refund or take responsibility for their mistake. Be careful when ordering from this store. They may change the contents of your order without notifying you, and if something goes wrong, don’t expect them to make it right.

I ordered blue anise "muisjes" at a very high price from Dutch Expat Shop, because a local import house couldn't get it to me on time. The shipment was held up in customs for two weeks, so I didn't get it by the time we needed it anyway. Insult to injury, I was charged an extra $18 for customs taxes and handling. If I ever need a Dutch specialty urgently, I'll have a local friend buy it, pay the tax at the post office and ship it express for a quarter of what Dutch Expat Shop's handling cost me.

Ordered baby formula twice. Both times took a little bit of time before they could get the product and have it shipped, but otherwise everything went great. Good communication, speedy shipping to Canada. Just be sure to allow 2-3 weeks to get your order. Will use them again.

My order was held up in customs in the Netherlands because it did not have the proper information. When it got to the states, it was held up again for an unknown reason, and it was only after I inquired about it a 3rd time that it was released for delivery. Delivery over two weeks from the time of order, and it would still be held had I not called. Just disappointed.

It would be nice to be told that import tax will need to be paid before delivery once the goods have reached the UK. This might deaden the shock of £24+ being asked for.
