Hi Theodosis,

Thank you for your honest feedback. I completely understand that €59.50 shipping on a €93 order feels expensive. Honestly, we also wish shipping from the Netherlands to an island like Cyprus was cheaper.

For transparency (and I also just sent you an email and included the official invoice from our carrier): our carrier charged us €65.96 for this shipment, while you paid €59.50. This means we covered €6.46 ourselves, and thats even excluding packaging, handling and preparation costs. We certainly do not make money on shipping.

We always look for the most economical carrier available, but in this case there unfortunately was no cheaper option. If a shipping quote ever feels too high, you are of course never obliged to proceed; we can always cancel the order before shipment and refund the products. You are also welcome to arrange your own courier collection from our warehouse.

I hope this clarifies the situation, and thank you again for your feedback.

Professional and customer centred

Edit: Sailcentre have explained that they made a sincere mistake with my order. They have handled the issue very professionally and to my satisfaction. I have since changed my rating. I ordered an ILCA sail and paid extra to have the sail number stuck on. The letters on the sail were switched in position! They sent me replacement letters but it defeats the scope of me paying extra to have them stuck on!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are sorry that your ILCA sail arrived with MTL applied instead of MLT. We understand how frustrating this is when you specifically chose and paid for the sail number to be applied. We have arranged replacement letters and refunded the application cost, as you should of course not pay for a service when we made a mistake. Our apologies again for the inconvenience.

Shopping Costs are 50% higher During Check out

Shopping costs increased by 50% to 8,95 for a Tiny parcel. Company ignored my comment!!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the confusion regarding the shipping costs and understand that this felt disappointing.

The €5.95 rate is our standard shipping cost within the Netherlands. For standard parcels to Germany, the shipping cost is €8.95, as listed on our website. We have noticed that the automatic shipping calculation may not always have been displayed correctly and have asked our website developer to investigate this.

Your comment was not intentionally ignored. Our warehouse team shipped the order immediately to avoid any delay, and the issue was reported internally afterwards. As a gesture of goodwill, we have refunded the €3.00 difference to you.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope this explanation clarifies the situation.

Sent the wrong item but corrected it ASAP

Purchased 4 items. 3 were sent correctly, one was sent in error. Of the 4 original items I returned the one sailcenter sent in error plus another item that was too big in size. The former was refunded immediately and the latter was properly reimbursed after the delay stated in their T&C.

Thank you for your review. I actually tried to call you today to personally apologise and explain the situation.

The refund for the gloves we sent incorrectly was processed immediately, as this was our mistake. While we work with a double-check system to prevent errors, unfortunately mistakes can still happen from time to time. This order was processed during a period in which we were training a new team member, although of course that does not excuse the error. The trousers, however, were returned and received by us at a later date and were therefore handled separately as a standard return. This refund was processed within our published return processing time of 7–14 days. We understand that waiting for a refund can be frustrating and apologise for the inconvenience.

As a small team, we do our best to process returns as quickly as possible while maintaining the level of service our customers expect from us. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for your order.

Fijn Marco! Ik zie inderdaad dat de bestelling op 29 april is verstuurd en op 1 mei is geleverd. Meestal is het binnen Nederland via PostNL: vandaag verstuurd, morgen in huis 😊 Maar, rond feestdagen zoals Koningsdag loopt er helaas soms wat vertraging op bij de bezorgdiensten. Fijn in ieder geval dat je ook zag dat het niet aan ons lag 😉
